I went to this practice because it was the biggest pediatric dentist practice in town and because of that I thought surely they were doing something right. WRONG!! We were scheduled for 2 new patient appointments at 1:30 in the afternoon. Unbeknownst to me, the office didnt open up till 2 p.m. in the afternoon (they close for lunch). On top of that they told me to come 15 minutes early to fill out new patient paperwork. What was an empty office when we arrived quickly filled up to capacity by the time we were finally seen at 2:30, a full hour after our appointment was supposed to start. On top of that there was not one smile from anyone. The receptionist was rude, the technicians were judgemental and not friendly with our kids or with us and the doctor we were seeing did not make eye contact with us. Went back about 2 months later for a follow up visit for my son and vibe and customer service had not changed. After that visit I started looking for a new practice and when I called to have my records transferred, no one even asked me why I was leaving. When I went to pick the records up the receptionist quickly and bristly handed over my documents without any word. Just because you are the biggest player in town doesnt mean that you are the best. I also forgot to add that the procedure that they wanted to do for my son to fix his cavities required him to be put under. We asked if he could only have laughing gas and they promptly told us "no" he had to have anesthesia because he had a bad gag reflex. My husband who is an ER Physician was uncomfortable when he heard that our young son had to have anesthesia. He asked if we could go back with him during the procedure just in case something went wrong with the anesthesia and he was promptly told no and when we told him he was in the medical field, they still would not let us back. As a parent, you should be allowed back with your young child no matter what your situation is. My son recently had his cavities fixed at his new pediatric dentist office with no anesthesia only laughing gas (he did great!!) and both of us were allowed back with him as this procedure was done. This office was very uncaring about the whole process.

Our 2 Year old son fell and broke his tooth all the way to the nerve. We called a couple of places that night that said if he doesnt seem to be in pain he should be ok until the morning. A family member recommended this office. We called first thing the very next morning and they fit us in with no problem at all. I took him in and was greeted at the door with a smile and she said hi to my son using his name. The staff took us back after not waiting too long, explained what they were going to do during this visit and that the doctor would be in shortly to discuss our options. Dr. Amanda came in and immediately we felt comfortable. She played with our son, let him touch the gloves, gave him stickers. You wouldnt have thought he was at a dentist office. Because of the damage that had happened to his tooth they said "if you decide this option then we can actually do it this afternoon". Which was great news because we didnt want our son to be in any pain if we could help it. We agreed and came back in that same afternoon. Of course my wife was in pieces about the whole situation and my son was scared because he doesnt understand the situation, being only 2. The procedure went as well as it could have and the entire staff in the room was great. Our son had a Popsicle, juice and stickers. Dr. Amanda and the staff stayed in the room with us while our son calmed down, answered all of our questions, gave us instructions and ensured us that we made the right decision and that he had a good support team around him to get through it. For something that seemed so big for us that we worried about all night and day. They comforted us, explained everything and was very kind, thoughtful, nice, and always had smiles on their faces. We couldnt have asked for a better experience, Dr. and staff. We have 2 other children and we will be making this office our permanent dentist office and will highly recommend this office to anyone we can. Thank you so very much from the Lee Family.

This was my little mans (5 yrs old) first visit to the dentist and it went very well. The waiting room had a childrens area with books & a kids movie playing. It also had comfortable chairs for the parents. The dentist chairs are bright colors and the rooms are open & large rather than closed in & intimidating for the kids. My little guy was a little scared of the spinny toothbrush, even though the hygienist offered to let him touch it. He also didnt want to sit in the chair alone so he sat in my lap, which was fine. Dr. Amanda (Kerns) was great with my little guy. Got down on his level, talked about his favorite things (dinosaurs mostly), made him guess how many teeth he has before getting him to open wide so she could count them. He really liked her. Since he wouldnt let them clean his teeth with the toothbrush, they just did a fluoride treatment. It took a little work to convince him to open up but eventually Dr. Amanda was able to apply the fluoride to her satisfaction. We left with a brand new Ninja Turtle toothbrush and a balloon sword. My overall impression with this practice is very positive. I really liked Dr. Amanda. She was very pleasant & got along great with my little guy, made him comfortable in an environment that isnt comfortable for most kids. He left saying he was looking forward to coming back in 6 months and that next time, he would let them use the spinny toothbrush to clean his teeth.

I felt the customer service at this location very exploitative. I had my son scheduled for some dental work with Dr.Miller. He had a very light breakfast (1/4 cup of cereal ..about 15 -25 cheerios). The staff used this against us to charge $200 with absolutely "0" work done. I dont know how others view this kind of behavior, but from my standpoint of view this the real "low" for any professional. To charge for no work. The explanation I was given, my son needed a sedative which can only be administered on an empty stomach and so he will need to reschedule. The sedative was optional, and the work could at least have been done on 1 tooth without the sedative but there was no effort to attempt any kind of relief for us. They readily charged us $200 for 1 hr of the doctors time... who did not even see the kid. Probably used the 1 hour to relax at our expense. My recommendation: If you are charging your patient $200, please be polite enough to show your face and explain the situation directly... we are already paying you for your 1 hr. Make an effort to see whats the next best thing that can be done in the time. Maybe just check his teeth as a courtesy, offer some advice on dental hygiene, do some cleaning... the point is your 1 hr has been paid for... do some work for the sake for ethics and morality.
