My family and I have been patients at Tidewater for over 10 years. Today my daughter had an appointment with Dr. Wolf (April 25, 2016). Well I dont normally give reviews at all but I couldnt let this one go. What a horrible experience we had with Dr. Wolf. My daughter has a loose tooth and was very scared because she thought it was a permanent tooth. My daughter and I did our best to explain what we thought was wrong. The X-Rays didnt agree with what we were saying. So I continued to try and explain what my daughter and I thought was happening. She got upset and literally accused me of calling her a liar simply because I continued to question her for answers. I told her that I would never call her liar, calling her a liar never entered my mind I was simply trying to understand how my daughters tooth was a loose baby tooth when the baby tooth in that space had already come out. She got all upset and a bit belligerent not in a threatening manner but in a hostile totally unprofessional manner. Needless to say I have never been treated that way at Tidewater Dental before. Dr. Cooper and the rest of the staff have always been very nice, professional, and caring people. I never want to deal with Dr. Wolf again. Nor does my daughter. I am going to start asking around to get references for another dentist in the area. Especially since Dr. Cooper is only there one day a week now. Oh after Dr. Wolf abruptly left room the dental assistant actually helped us to understand my daughters issue. As it turns out it wasnt the same tooth from before. Thank you Mrs. Dental Assistant for looking back at my daughters records and pointing that out to us. If Dr. Wolf had done that, all of this could have been avoided. I hope she was just having a bad day, it happens. I also hope that she doesnt treat any of her other patients this way.

The office staff and assistants are curtious & professional. However my experience with the Orthodonist for Invisalign was sub par to put it politely. The results which I wished for were conveyed from the begining and $$$$$ thousand dollars later not met; my teeth already almost perfectly straight, a simple movement needed, I had braces as a child. Invislign also resulted in moving my teeth into scraping each other each time I bite, which was a concern my dentist mentioned and asked me to address and fix with my orthodontist, Dr. Deroo. You may be interested to know that the orthodonist is only available 2 days a month (every other Wed.), as he is a satellite doctor. Which means when a nub that holds your invisalign in place comes off you are stuck for awhile. This affects your teeth. When I expressed my concerns, I was told I already paid and the profit had already been recorded. There is a lot of laundry here with my experience. I am looking for a new invislign doctor, unfortunetly I am out thousands of dollars, its 2 years later, and my teeth are damaging themselves.

I brought the little one in today for a baby tooth extraction and Dr. Todd and his staff were WONDERFUL. Everyone was so friendly and greeted him with smiles and got him talking about everything but the dentist! Once we got to the room, he was in tears the moment he sat in the chair but they were quick to the rescue to stop those tears! Between the laughing gas, watching cartoons, Dr. Todds magic tricks and the lovely assistant playing with his hair (which he said was all he remembered lol), it was a hands down a great experience. When walking out I asked if he even remembered the needle and he looked at me like I had 12 eye balls and said "I never had a needle!!" (Even though he had TWO). For an 7 year old to leave a dental office after an extraction with a baby tooth for the tooth fairy, a balloon and a huge smile is a good day in my books. Overall, phenomenal job Tidewater, phenomenal!

The Tidewater Dental facility in Lexington Park, Md is a first class 5 star business worthy of praise. All the staff that I met during my first visit was excellent. From the initial smiling receptionist Katie at the front desk, the warm and caring Dental Assistant , Row, the wonderful desk staff during check out and of course Dr. D’Aoust, my smiling dentist. The entire atmosphere was comfortable and Dr. D’Aoust was constantly providing an update during my crown procedure which was performed painless and flawless. Thanks again Row and Dr. D’Aoust, you make a great team with excellent results!!! At 66 years old, I never recall referring to a dentist visit as a pleasure until now. I would highly encourage anyone searching for a new dentist office, give them a try - you will be pleased you did. Billy...

Not trustworthy. My wife went to this office due to its high score at Google. So, today she had an appointment around noon. Unfortunately she had to cancel the appointment right on the spot - at receptionist desk. She went away without even giving it a try. Why? Its weird. The front desk ladies were very unfriendly and not nice. The impression was that it was a big favour from that dental office to render its service to my wife. Oh well, we are still paying customers, arent we? No wonder that my wife became very suspicious about the rest of the professionals in that dental office. Indeed, if the front end employees are so unprofessional in what they are doing, what can you expect from the main staff? Still, we are wondering why this dental office maintains such a high score at Google.

I have always felt the staff to be friendly and efficient. I am able to be seen within a reasonable and frankly quick turn around time. However, I only gave three stars because in May 2015, I requested a crown in lieu of a filling. I was told the best option was the filling, so I deferred to the Dentist. Now, November 2016, part of my filling broke and I am being told that it is too much filling vs. tooth and I need a crown. (Why would you do this to befin with...if you know it is more likely to break?) I TRULY hope this is not what it appears to me....a way to continue getting patients back in and paying more money! I want a dentist that will go with BEST practice and truly consider what a patient wants and not make decisions so they can have a turn around for money.

There are few Dental Offices that truly care about your comfort and speaking from experience , the staff , even down to the receptionist were so wonderful and they really cared about how much pain I was in. The level of skills that they all have are amazing. I never had to wait in the waiting room for a long period of time, and the Dentist spent time with me explaining everything to me with out making me feel rushed. The office is beautiful and clean and Anita- the receptionsist will always be there to welcome you with a smile. My family and I will always go there.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I spent an hour at two separate locations with them "trying" to verify my insurance at which point they asked me plenty of times if I was sure I had insurance. Then when I was finally seen, I hate to wait even longer for the dentist to come by just to tell me they could do nothing about my tooth ache and I would have to see a specialist. Waste of time and money. DO NOT go to these people. I will NEVER send the new guys who move here for job to this joke of a dentist office.
