I had been past the store many times, but until I needed glasses, I never thought to check it out. Im so glad I did! Bob was extremely knowledgeable about frames and eyeglass technology (I have new digital progressive lenses). Within 35 minutes I had frames that I loved and was measured and out the door without even having my prescription with me (Bob got all my info straight from my ophthalmologist). That was Monday. Thursday my glasses were ready!! Bob convinced me to try digital progressive lenses versus bifocals even though I had had a bad experience with progressive lenses in the past. He even offered to refund the difference for the progressive lenses and make new bifocals for me if I didnt like the new lenses. Who does that anymore?? When I picked up my new glasses, he taught me how to use the progressive lenses and what to expect. I wore them home and didnt need to take them off or switch to my old glasses for the rest of the day. I woke up and put on my glasses this morning and can do and see everything (see the clock on the far wall, work at my computer, read the paper, read the tiny directions on a label). Not only that, but my 17 year old daughter approved of my new frames. If she hadnt liked them, I never wouldve heard the end of it! I told my husband about my great experience at Eyeland, and he realized that he needs new glasses and will be going to see Bob too. Yes, the prices were a bit higher than at discount places, but I got incredible one-one attention, professional care, training on using my new lenses, and very speedy service. That works for me! Highly recommend!

I liked the doctor fine, but the rest of the staff seem disorganized. I was told to come and get my glasses on a Monday and when I arrived (after fighting rush hour traffic) I was asked if Id been told they would be ready that day because my lenses hadnt been delivered. I was told to come back the following day. The following day I received a call that my lenses were in (appreciated) but that theyd forgotten to take a measurement and so I would have to do that and wait for them to finish making them.

The glasses I purchased there 6 months ago had already been discontinued by the manufacturer and were significantly over priced relative to other retailers. It now took 3 calls over 2 days to get my prescription emailed to me. Optometrist was okay.
