This is to express my gratitude for the excellent care I have received at Azman Eye Care and to let you know what an impact it has had on my life. I have used eyeglasses for nearly thirty years and contact lenses for over twenty years. Prior to my treatment at Azman Eye Care, I experienced frequent severe sinus headaches and dizziness. Since Ive been going to Azman Eye Care the headaches have significantly decreased in severity and frequency. Prior to my treatment at Azman Eye Center, whenever I purchased new contact lenses and eyeglasses, I found that within a month of wearing them, they no longer seemed to correct my vision as well and I was always straining to see clearly. In addition, I was never able to see as clearly with eyeglasses as I was with contact lenses. Now, approximately one and one-half years since first wearing my current contact lens prescription, my vision is just as clear as it was when I began wearing the new lenses! Furthermore, I can see just as well with the eyeglasses I received from Azman Eye Center as I do with the contact lenses. For the first time in my life, I feel confident with my vision when wearing eyeglasses and am able to give my eyes "rest" from wearing the contact lenses each week. When my family doctor referred me to you, I did not realize the possibilities for such improved vision and health, having sought help with my vision from numerous eye care professionals during my life. The high level of care and professional and responsive staff at Azman Eye Center are greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

I began seeing Dr. Azman about two years ago due to severe dry eyes. Prior to my first appointment with him, I had gone to several other eye doctors (one locally and one at the Wilmer Eye Institute) and no one could help me – they just wanted to write me a prescription for Restasis (which didn’t help) and send me on my way. At the time, my left eye was tearing excessively which was interfering with my work and affecting my quality of life. Within the first five minutes of seeing Dr. Azman, I knew that he was going to be able to help me. He took the time to talk with me and explain the causes of dry eyes. He also suggested several tests that helped in determining what was causing my dry eyes – something the other doctors I saw weren’t interested in finding out. I left the office after the first appointment feeling more hopeful than I had in a long time. Within a few days of my first visit with Dr. Azman, my left eye was no longer watering! A few weeks later, I noticed that my eyes felt a lot better. If you have dry eyes and have tried everything else, call Dr. Azman. He can help! He specializes in dry eye treatment and it shows. He knows what he is doing and he has a great bedside manner. He even follows up with a phone call after the appointment. In addition, his staff couldn’t be nicer. They are so friendly and helpful and provide excellent customer service.

I met Dr. Benjamin Azman by "accident" on October 28th, 2016. Of all things, my little 4 pound Yorkshire Terrier hit me in the eye with his little, wet nose and caused quite a nasty abrasion on my cornea. I was in Timonium on travel, I live in Northern VA. Across the street from the venue I was at I recalled seeing an Eye Care Sign on the building so I walked in. Words can not adequately describe the level of care and concern I felt from the moment I was greeted at the desk. To say that every single person I encountered went above and beyond the call would be an understatement. The accident happened on a Friday morning, I was to be in town until Sunday evening. Two of the Doctors opened the office on Sunday morning for a follow up visit which is unheard of. I also received calls and a couple of text messages just checking if there was any pain before the Sunday follow up appointment. As a result of this little accident, due to the very interesting diagnostic equipment they have, a more serious problem was found behind my eyes that I had no idea about. I have my eyes checked and dilated yearly by a local Optometrist so this was very concerning. I feel so blessed to have found this practice and for the genuine care they demonstrated.

I have what is called advanced keratoconus which requires me to wear a special contact lense. Before I was diagnosed I wore glasses just never wanted to wear contacts because I was scared , Im very weird about touching my eyes, I kept rescheduling my appointments and Dr. Azman and his staff kept calling for me to come in, I was just afraid of the thought of inserting contacts I didnt think I could do it, I believed that I could get glasses instead of the contacts, didnt happen. My vision deteriorated so quickly I had to go in, let me say The Azman team are the friendliest, most professional group of people that Ive met in a long time, Joanne worked with me until I was comfortable with putting the contacts in and taking them out, she was patient and even called to check on me, I have two different lenses that I insert. At home I did everything Joanne said to do and I have no problems. I am so glad I made it into the office, when Dr. Benjamin put my lenses in and I could see clearly for the first time in a long time I cried ...Dr. Benjamin waa so awesome ! Thank you so much !! Azman is my eye care specialist for life!!

This guy will try to make sure that your eye chemistry is correct before giving you your glasses. Problem is, it requires a number of tests thatll cost you. Initial visit was $170, with VSP. Next visit required five tests, some billable by insurance, some were discounted by Dr. Azman himself through some certificates. It also meant an additional $220 out of pocket for me. Thats already $390 of expenses without any glasses/lenses to speak of. He refused to give me a simple prescription because it wasnt the right way. Unfortunately, I cant afford the right way and the cost of the tests alone wont yield me a pair of glasses or contacts. I think the favorable reviews were from his relatives or were very, very rich people.

Dr Irwin Azman is great at explaining things in plain english and hes very thorough. Hes helping me treat my dry eyes and has made far more progress than two different optometrists ever did. Dr Azman is expensive, but honestly, hes worth it. He doesnt accept my insurance which is rough, but he does accept Care Credit which makes it manageable for me to pay my bill because most purchases are six months interest free if paid in full. My one minor complaint is I feel like he overbooks and is going back and forth between two patients at the same time (or perhaps he was covering for another Dr?) so the visits take a little longer than I think they really should. That being said, i still give him 5 stars because hes worth it!

This place will gouge you by recommending random tests and then aggressively pursue you to make follow-up appointments. I would definitely avoid. My wife walked away with a $450 bill because expensive frames were strongly recommended and she was told her insurance would cover it. I also walked away with a several hundred dollar bill because I supposedly had "clogged tear ducts" and needed special eyelid soap. It all seemed like a big joke in the end because I kept the same contact lens prescription and never even had the chance to get new glasses! After all that, the office would call me repeatedly to make follow-up appointments which wouldnt have been covered by my insurance. Pretty sketchy!
