My wife and I took our newborn here because of close proximity to our house. We do not recommend going here if you are first time parents without a large support system for breastfeeding because she, Dr. Meena, told us we needed to supplement formula because of a 2oz decrease in weight, which is completely normal for a newborn. We follow an alternative vaccine schedule for our children because it works for us and instead of explaining why she recommends each vaccine she just told us we needed to find another pediatrician (Dr.Dhillon in Leonardtown took the time to explain each vaccine and why he recommended them). When our daughter was born we had concerns about her breathing and the doctors at Virginia Hospital Center were keeping a close eye on it, so when we went to Dr.Meena we mentioned our concern for her breathing. However, when she would check her respiratory rate it was like she was just doing it out of habit (maybe spending 5s listening) and continued talking while "checking" which would prevent her from concentrating and hearing a possible irregularity in my daughters breathing. Also, when receiving our records to give to our new pediatrician, I reviewed her notes and she stated that my daughter had jaundice, which was never relayed to me and we never saw a single sign of her having jaundice. As well as having notes about my daughter having problems latching and nursing.... which was completely false and she never saw her nurse, so her diagnosing this would be impossible. As for professionalism, we would wait for at least an hour for all 3 of our appointments with her and on 2 occasions we witnessed her rushing into the building at least 30 min past our scheduled appointment with her. This review is for Dr.Meena and not the entire pediatric office.

Wonderful pediatricians! They dont keep you waiting, and I was able to get a same day appointment when I had a minor concern. Highly recommended!

All the doctors are very nice and caring, especially Dr. Meena. However, the people at the front desk are rude and unfriendly.
