I found Dr. Healey to be highly proficient with a very helpful staff who maintains a comfortable office at a very convenient location. In other words, I highly recommend this office for all of your dental needs! For those interested, my recent experience is as follows: I called needing a tooth extraction and was in quite a bit of pain at the time. It was a broken wisdom tooth that I had been neglecting for a while. They managed to fit me in right away, and an hour later the offending tooth was successfully removed from my head without an issue. There was absolutely no pain at all during the procedure and didnt even realize it when the tooth came out. In and out -- extremely professional, quick, and easy. I had been to two other dentists in the area for this tooth, both of which struck me as shady. I say this because they were more interested in up selling me on totally unnecessary procedures (e.g. "Bone Grafts") than in ending my pain. In other words, I felt more like a mark to those other dentists -- whereas Dr. Healey and his staff made me feel like a patient. And even though he is not in my dental insurance providers network, I will gladly pay the extra out of network fees to see him.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Healey since 2003, back when I lived down the road in Billerica. I now live 45 minutes away, and there are three other dental offices within walking distance of my house. Yet I still make the trek to Dr. Healeys office in Billerica several times a year for my appointments. Besides providing outstanding dental care, Dr. Healey has created an environment that makes patients feel welcome and at ease. Its worth making the trip to Billerica because I feel "at home" with Dr. Healeys office. Its an office where Im greeted by my first name, and Ive had the pleasure of getting to know his hygienists and assistants over the years. Theyre all fantastic. His office has flexible hours, and I never sit in the waiting room for more than a couple minutes, if that. As far as dental procedures go, Ive had my fair share. Ive never had any issue or excessive discomfort with the work that has been done. I feel my dental health is better now than it has ever been. In summary, if youre looking for an outstanding local dentist I highly recommend Dr. Healey.

Walked in without an appointment with an excruciating toothache. Was greeted by a very friendly receptionist named Linda. Had tried contacting other dentists and could not be seen for at least two weeks. After communicating how much discomfort I was in, I was amazed that Linda was apologizing to me if it would be too much trouble for me to wait twenty minutes. Astounding! Never expected to be seen almost immediately. When I was brought in, I was greeted by Deb. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. Even found myself laughing with her despite my pain. When Dr. Healey consulted with me, he was informative, reassuring, and easygoing. They were able to address the problem and resolve it without any discomfort at all. Deb even held my hand during the procedure sensing I was a little anxious. I am happy to report I felt no pain nor discomfort after medication wore off. I would highly recommend Dr. Healey and his staff. You will be treated to old school medicine...youll love the smile they put on your face because of it!

Its somewhat intimidating to start over with a new dentist, however I felt immediately at ease when I walked into the practice of Dr. Matthew Healey. The space is very clean, modern and cheerful. Every member of the staff was friendly and professional. My hygienist Kathie was very gentle and thorough, she really listened and accommodated my needs. Shes an excellent teacher and gave me many helpful hints to improve the care of my teeth and gums. Dr. Healey was warm, personable and obviously knowledgeable. The office is run efficiently but the feeling is relaxed and not rushed. I am looking forward to being a client for many years to come.

I havent been to the dentist in 20 yrs, and I was a complete nervous wreck for my appointment.  The staff at Matthew Healeys was wonderful,  the hygienist was so incredibly kind and caring and eased my nerves. They care about your "not so great" memories of dentist appointments from the past and strive to make sure it is not repeated and that your experience there is positive and that you are comfortable. She was compassionate and explained everything in detail so I understood the next step. It was judgement free and I honestly wish I didnt drag my feet about going!

I am extremely afraid of going to the dentist. Im in my 20s and still can not even go to get a cleaning. I waited until I had the most severe pain to even have my teeth looked at because I knew I had cavities. I went to Dr. Healey to find out I needed two fillings and two root canals. I pretty much had a panic attack. They gave me the sedation pills and did all of the work in one visit. I didnt feel a thing and didnt remember a thing. If your afraid I HIGHLY recommend going here and having the sedation pills. By the next day your fine. The staff is also very nice.

Dr.Healey and his team are awesome! I made a last minute appointment and they were able to fit me in that day! My exam and cleaning were very thorough and wasnt rushed whatsoever. I had great conversation with Kathie the dental hygienist. My teeth felt amazing when I left, extremely white and clean. Im very impressed with Dr. Healeys professionalism and skill set. I would like to add the fact that I had a chip in my tooth approx 3 years ago that Dr. Healey fixed and is still holding strong! I wouldnt go anywhere else now that I found this place!

This dentist office is good about explaining what theyre going to do before they do it, and they tell you the price of procedures ahead of time without having to ask for an estimate. I appreciate knowing whats coming next both physically and financially, its nice to not have sticker shock or wonder what the heck is going on. Also, they seem to always run on time - even for late afternoon or evening appointments. I put off going to the dentist for a couple years before coming here but this place is really good.

I had a hard time finding a dentist that I liked and felt comfortable with so I was so glad when I found Dr. Healey. Ive been going to his office for the last 9 years and he makes me feel incredibly comfortable and always makes sure that I understand any procedure that is needed. He is very patient and thorough and his flexible office hours make it easy for me to make appointments. Despite the fact that I now live in downtown Boston, I still make the commute to see Dr. Healey for my dental health.

Overall my experience at this practice was immensely positive. Dr. Healey is very adept and well-versed in his dentistry skills, and his technicians and assistants along with him were of great pleasure to get dental work from. They made extra time after hours to get my filling done and were very friendly and helpful to me. I genuinely appreciate practices like these that take the extra steps and time to ensure attentiveness and quality performance with patients. Keep up the great work!
