I was a first time patient in January 2017 for a routine eye exam. I saw Dr. Sullivan in the Newburyport office. She and all the other staff wee great. Now, for the bad news. As someone thats on disability with extremely limited income, I decided to order my new glasses online. The total, including no line bifocals, tint and anti scratch coating came to just under 50 bucks. I was thrilled. The only small issue I had is that they needed to be adjusted slightly which most new glasses do. I went to Watts in Neburyport to get this done and was told it would be $47.00! I couldnt believe it. Ive been wearing glasses for 35 years and I have NEVER been charged for an adjustment whether I was a patient there or not. Im so disappointment, I doubt I will be going back.

Im new to the area and had to find an eye doctor since beginning to have issues with my eyes. They recommended a process where they didnt have to dilate my eyes since I had to go back to work after my appointment. The initial eye assessment was quick and efficient. When the doctor came in he was thorough and professional. I didnt feel like i had wasted my money on an eye exam like i do so often on my yearly physical exam. The entire office was courteous. Im not sure the prices are the lowest around but I dont mind paying a little extra for doctors who take me on time for my appointment and provide great service.

Dr. McDonald has been my eye doctor for many years now and I have consistently received courteous and professional service from both Dr. McDonald and Dr. Watts, as well as the technicians and office staff. I have especially appreciated receiving clear and thorough explanations regarding my eye care.

Introduced me to a hybrid contact lens which gives me more clarity with my vision, but is much more comfortable than hard lenses. Also, a great selection of frames- a very helpful staff that actually knew about what characteristics of frames are important for my type of face.

Although the tech was great, the shop is not Low income friendly. They will do an eye exam bit wont fill the prescription.
