Just Awful. We requested educational testing for our advanced child. I knew I should have never gone back when she used words such as "stupid" in her conversations with my 5 year old. She was awkward, made no effort to help my child feel comfortable, and used a harsh tone. We went back only because she was the only psychologist in the area with a background in gifted testing. We traveled over 2 hours to see her and she was 30 mins late to appointments. Then she insisted on diagnosing my child with Autism even after talking to another expert in the field who knows my child very well. This required us to seek a 2nd opinion at the Yale Child Study Center; the doctors there laughed at her report. Even after being presented with ample evidence that she made a misdiagnosis, she refused to provide us with the educational testing that we initially asked for. A complete waste of time and money.

Dr. Aimee Yermish is a highly esteemed colleague. She is dedicated to doing her absolute best for each person she serves. Dr. Yermish takes a sensitive, nuanced expert approach to figuring out what would be the best educational setting and method for each individual and then to helping them or their parents find or craft that arrangement. She is a highly skilled and resourceful professional. I recommend her strongly.
