The stigma surrounding mental health issues and counseling services is one that affects every society (especially males), and the perceptions (sometimes negative) regarding how and when individuals decide to reach out to access such care. The counseling services from Greg Handel at Thriveworks in Westborough have been as simple as how to get better organized in my work life to be less anxious and stressed in my personal life - as simple as creating a Fluid To-Do-List to help me stay better focused. Meeting Greg once a month is the perfect medicine for me - i can open up about issues that i do not discuss with anyone else - his advice, and guidance - and most importantly the support he provides by just listening to me - gives me the peace of mind needed to go about life more relaxed, which in the end, makes the people around me, happier.

If it was possible to review this place without assigning a rating, I would. It doesnt even deserve one star. Learnt about Greg Handel from the reviews here and tried to get an appointment but no response to the calls or voice messages for over a week. I also submitted an online request for appointment, Nothing. The one time Jess (receptionist) answered the phone, she was extremely rude and unreceptive. The therapists at this facility "MAY" be good but if the process to get to them is so frustrating and hassled then who knows. You would think a counseling place will be more compassionate and empathetic! Big let down!

Thriveworks operates a very professional, friendly business from administrative services to the actual counseling sessions. I was assisted by the office staff in getting my initial appointments set up. As a former mental healthcare professional, I appreciate Thriveworks efficiency while maintaining discretion. Dr. Wagner is thorough, kind, and approachable. In his office that is reminiscent of a treehouse (large windows in a wooded area), he creates a relaxed environment. I would highly recommend Thriveworks and Dr. Wagner to a friend, co-worker, or fellow internet reviewer.

Ive never been asked to pay an initiation fee for getting mental health help. Friendly staff on the phones but no thanks to the $99 dollar fee.
