As an LPC and ACA member, I receive monthly issues of Counseling Today and I always read Dr. Anthony Centores article about private practice before I read anything else. (His articles are always on Page 10, BTW.) All of his articles are always full of valuable suggestions and advice from his very successful experiences as a counselor and entrepreneur. I have implemented many of his suggestions and theyve all helped me to become gradually more successful!! Ive also been on his email list for some time and I took him up on his email offer and called him today to get some of his sage advice regarding private practice. So, if you havent noticed, Dr. Centore is a very busy man as CEO and Founder of ThriveWorks, yet he spent as much time with me on the phone as I needed, answering all my questions and making some invaluable suggestions along the way! I will of course implement each of his suggestions as I continue to try to grow my practice. He also welcomed me to call him with any additional questions I may have--who does that?!? When has the busy CEO of any company offered you his or her time, energy, and advice for free?? My experience today speaking with Dr. Centore reminds me of a quote by Jack Welch, the former CEO of General Electric about leaders: "Being a leader changes everything. Before you were a leader, success was all about you...When you become a leader, success is all about growing others..." Dr. Centore genuinely wants to help "grow others"-- we private practice clinicians who are trying to make a difference in peoples lives and to be as successful as possible doing it. Thank you Dr. Centore!

The administrator of my Flexible Spending Account asked for document for the charge for one of my sons visits. I contact the doctor. 1. Was told that I need his permission. I told the doctor that we had signed the permission for the doctor to speak/share my sons info. with us, we did that with all his doctors. 2.The doctor told me that hes trying to find the permission and that I "should talk to him" that "he suppose to know". I told the doctor that I had talked to my son, but I still need the stmt from him to the Flexible Spending Account or they will freeze my account. 3. The doctor then told me that he isnt in the office to find the permission that my son had signed. 4.The doctor then told me that he wants my son to "take care of it". I told the doctor theres nothing for my son to take care of that I just need him to send me the stmt. 4. The doctor then told me that my son should be the one requesting it. Why couldnt he just say so? "your son need to request the info. himself"! Instead hes leading me in a circle for two days!!

I am grateful for the enthusiastic career coaching provided by Dr. Anthony Centore when I called in with questions and concerns regarding my professional course. I received prompt and courteous assistance when I originally called despite calling during a busy holiday week. I received balanced and supportive advice from Dr. Centore, which I was really hoping for. As a therapist, I can say that Dr. Centore practices what he preaches when it comes to quick and responsive customer service. I was also delighted with the passion for the subject and encouragement for my professional growth and goals that Dr. Centore provided. I would highly recommend using Thriveworks services based on my experience!

A+++! My Thrive therapist has advised and empowered me in ways that have brought about real change in every part of my life - with his help, Ive overcome hurdles at work, finally set the wheels in motion toward my long-time goal of going back for my graduate degree, even my relationship with my boyfriend has drastically improved. I am a highly intelligent and achieved individual, but have had several therapists in my life. None of them even come close to the kind of immediately applicable help Ive gotten through Thrive. Start here and save yourself some time...

Im really glad that I discovered Thrive Boston. My experience so far has been all around very good. Before my first appointment, the scheduler spent close to a half an hour with me on the phone (over two calls) because my schedule is slammed full and I had to change my appointment a couple times. Ive been to see a life coach (Dr. Sam) 3 times, and hes been a real help to me. He is insightful, and has a kind/patient way about him. The location is just outside harvard square, and parking can be a challenge. The office suite is comfortable and well decorated.

As a professional myself in the Mental Health field, I contacted Dr. Anthony Centore for information I could pass along to my son. In my father role, I am trying to be supportive of my son who is starting his Psychology career in the Boston area. Dr. Centore quickly surmised the situation and and was able to set my mind at ease, while at the same time offer his professional expertise, and much useful information. I also appreciated his warm demeanor and openess regarding any further conversation. Gary Rotfus, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

There absolutely ! IS A WAITING LIST! and an undetermined one @ that. Information shows an office in Newton which is not accurate, yet still available online. The website is a huge! misrepresentation! Working in the mental health field myself I understand the struggles that some clients make in getting to treatment, and thats what THRIVE tries to cater to by promising an appt ASAP. Its hard enough finding an agency w extended hours, thought for sure it was too good to be true!

Thriveworks is a wonderful community of counselors. They have a great variety of different specialties and personalities. If you dont find a good fit with one therapist, theyll recommend another. Their billing and scheduling centers are very helpful, informative and prompt. The waiting room in Cambridge is very nice and comfortable and I have never had to wait long. Over all, it has been a wonderful experience.

Id worked with a therapist for several years, but needed to find someone new since his style just didnt seem to be working for me any longer. I did a good amount of research before selecting a new counselor and am glad that I decided on someone at Thrive. Ive only had one session so far, but think the fit is better and have already found a more responsive and worthwhile interaction with my counselor.

A++ I called thrive about a year ago about some anxiety issues I have had on and off for the majority of my life. I had been to therapists before, and no help I had reveiced had really lasted. The therapist I met with at thrive not only listened but helped me to learn techniques for overcoming anxiety. I highly recomend this therapy practice.
