Thank God for Google Reviews; they directed me to Dr. Caveks office and a dental appointment that was as epic as one could possibly be for yours truly. Seriously. In my lifetime Ive had dozens of dentists. And I have NEVER experienced this level of professionalism, sincere CARE and upbeat, but comfortable and comforting atmosphere. Megan, my Hygienist went above the call of duty. She went so far as to, not only double-check her work, but to also take what could have been a short break while we awaited Dr. Cavek, and do a TRIPLE check of my cleaning and x-rays. All the while, she comforted me with her natural, sunny disposition and informed me of every nuance of what she was doing. Dr. Cavek arrived and reviewed my cleaning and exam, and then gave Megan her analysis. Dr. Cavek asked me about and actually listened to my concerns. She laid out several plans of action to address them. Shes a natural and shes invested heavily in her state-of-the-art technology (like, I had no idea there was such a thing as a "Panoramic Dental X-Ray" - Google it!), as well as her interior design and, MOST importantly, her personnel. Good help is getting harder to find and she has, by first impression, a very loyal team of passionate employees. (Im probably sounding like I own the place, but this is sincerely based on an actual "first date"/visit to Anchor Dentistry. Im just so blown away. Bear with me a minute longer please. It gets better!) And then I was up and out to the front desk to check out and speak with Sarah, Dr. Caveks Office Coordinator. Sarah was the first voice I heard when I called to set an appointment after reading these reviews. She IMMEDIATELY greeted me as if I were a real person needing help with my chompers. I felt like I was her only concern. And, as evidenced by watching her today, that couldnt possibly have been the case. She must have six arms to do all of the juggling and organizing and everything else required for being the voice and "the brains" of a small business. There was no "Oh, yeah... we can take you at 3:00 on Friday the 13th or you can blah, blah, blah..."; I KNEW she was making a point to actually connect with me. People dont always understand the power in the tone of their voice, let alone their words. And on exiting today, she made sure to leverage my insurance to address the next step in my dental "game plan" and wanted to set my six-month check up to keep the momentum rolling for my goals. She took a few minutes to crunch some numbers, referring back and forth to my insurance and then their pricing list, finally wishing me a "Happy Birthday" by giving me an out-of-pocket expense that was literally half of what I had already been quoted by another dentist. Again, WHOA! That actually gets a WHOOOOOAA!!! I left with a shiny smile, and a feeling that I must absolutely set aside some time to write this review. Small business is the heart of America. Everything is being gobbled up by corporations and without going on that rant, I most obviously appreciate Dentist offices like Dr. Caveks. People, if youve read this far, and youre in need of a really special place to have your teeth cared for, youve found it here at Anchor Family Dentistry. Call them. Thank you, Megan. Thank you, Dr. Cavek. Thank you, Sarah. Thank you Panoramic Dental X-Ray Robot Machine Thing. You all rock. Big time.

First off the wait to even be seen by the dentist was just about an hour long. There were kids in the waiting room just acting so bad , they were tearing up the books that were in the waiting room for children and they kept swearing and horsing around. After my hour wait in the waiting room, I was told to sit in the chair and explain my problem. I told the lady that my tooth had broke and explained how it happened and when it happened. AFTER WAITING ANOTHER 30 minutes in the room, the lady came back to take 1 X-ray of my broken tooth. She said that it was broken to the gum and that it could not be saved and needed to be extracted. She handed me a paper that needed to be signed ( I dont even know why) and the real dentist came into the room and grabbed the paper out of my hands. She looked at my broken tooth and poked it with the metal tool and asked me if I had any pain. I said no. She said that my tooth could be filled and sent me to go make my next appointment. When I got to the front desk to make my appointment , the dentist didnt even mark onto the notes for my file what tooth needed to be filled so the front desk lady had no idea what to make my appointment for, I had to explain to her myself. The soonest she could get me in for the next appointment to fix my tooth was pretty much a month down the road. I LEFT THIS OFFICE FEELING SO UNEASY ABOUT THIS DENTIST OFFICE AND felt like I wasted my time!!!!! I never went back !!!!

I am from out of town visiting my family in Michigan and was recommended by my sister to visit Anchor Family Dentistry upon experiencing a recurring toothache . I have to say that this was by far one of my best experiences at the Dentist! I was told it would be but I was skeptical as I usually have to be pushed and prodded to walk in through the door lol. The receptionist was very kind and patient, and the environment was very clean and comfortable. I was put at ease from the moment I walked in. Dr Caven was very professional and thorough and was very gentle and eased my fears through my procedure. She distracted me by chatting with me and even holding my hand, very friendly and a lovely lady. I definitely recommend Anchor Family Dentistry, and will be visiting again when I am back in town! Thank you for the great work!

Dr. Caven-Nwagwu is simply amazing and made me feel completely at ease. Everyone is friendly and extremely accommodating. I had switched here because I was unhappy with my last doctor. I was pregnant at this time and she took great care of me. After having a few teeth extracted, she even called to see how I was doing. In fact, she went completely above and beyond by coming in on her day off. Her staff is amazing as well. John always worked hard at fitting me in and always had everything I needed ready to go. I was so thankful for that! Sarah does a great job at getting your mind off any procedure which is so helpful. They always asked how my pregnancy was and if I had any new updates. I will never forget what they did for me. I recommend this dentist to everyone and plan on bringing my daughter here.

When I first walked into their office, I felt a sense of relief. The staff was very pleasant and I believe they noticed how nervous I was and immediately made me a priority, which I find very rear these days. By the time I met Dr. Nwagwu, I was at ease and confident in her ability not to change my perception. She assessed the problem and explained what needed to be done. She did exactly what needed to be done and I havent had any problems. Thanks to Dr. Nwagwu and her lovely staff, I dont have any apprehensions about going to the Dentists.
