We brought our daughter here for her very first dental check up and the service was fine, however my daughter ended up having to have one of her baby teeth removed. The dentist sent us to a spectrum health outpatient facility for whatever reason. I was not aware that this place didnt do their surgeries/removals in office. What made this entire experience negative was the billing/financial portion of it all! After having the procedure done, we later received a $6,000+ medical bill from spectrum for the outpatient facilities services, I called the office and they were of zero help, simply saying that I had to get in touch with spectrum and my insurance company because they only took care of the dental portion of it all and the bill was "medical" so I had to take care of it myself and even after submitting the claim to my insurance company I still came out of pocket over $1000! I was faced with an anesthesiologist bill of over $200 and was later hit with another bill from this office, after waiting for weeks and paying them $400+ prior to the procedure! You would think that they would help you with all of this or that they would at least inform you of what you need to do beforehand! Thats not to mention they went through an entire 2 month process to get approved through our dental insurance for the procedure so they made very sure they got paid but couldnt take the time to do the rest, needless to say weve switched dental offices.

I was searching for a second opinion for my 3 year old son that needed some work done. I chose this office because of all the positive reviews but I was sadly not impressed. The hygienist that brought us back was very nice but didnt seem trained yet and when taking anterior teeth X-rays of my son she got his nasal cavity instead on the top teeth, however they still charged us for them. I didnt even like that they took my son that was already scared of the dentist right to a chair to take X-rays before letting him warm up or having us talk to the dentist since we were really there just for a second opinion. The dentist came in and just told us since he needed work done in different parts of his mouth and that it would require multiple visits and that he would only do it by having him go to the hospital and getting him sedated. Before the appointment I had asked the staff if they did the oral conscious sedation and they said yes so I was hoping that would be option but he wasnt even willing to try it. It was such a waste of time and money, just to have him tell me that he would only do it at the hospital. We thankfully found a dentist that would do the work at different visits and we only did the oral conscious sedation on the first visit because he responded so well to the nitrous oxide. Im sure other people have had better experiences with this office but that was not the case for us.

I will absolutely give 5 stars to Dr. Kingma and his staff! My son has a few cavities and the office could schedule appointments for us immediately to get him treated before the teeth decay even more. We visited a number of dentists before we finally found him. He convinced and impressed us during the first visit. He explained everything so professionally and clearly, giving me a good education about the filling procedures. He discussed everything so thoroughly and was also willing to listen to the parents. My 3 year old loved him! He got treated today and everything went so well. I wish we could have our whole family taken care of by his office should he also accept adult patients. A great dentist with absolutely the highest level of ethic, knowledge, professionalism, and dedication! I will recommend him to all our friends. To add to my previous post. By today, we have had all six cavities treated in three visits. Dr. Kingma is so considerate that he is willing to work at a pace that makes us feel comfortable and makes my son enjoy his dental experience. My son loves him and wants to visit his office all the time. Thanks to Dr. Kingma and his crew, now my son has all beautiful shiny teeth. Thank you so much, Dr. Kingma! We are so blessed to have found you.

I felt very misled by the reminder emails and reminder phone calls that stated a 3:00pm appointment. I got my kids out of school so we would arrive 15 minutes early. When my kids were not called back until 3:15 I was advised that 3:00 was my sign in time and the appointment was at 3:15. Please just be truthful. If you have patients that cant arrive on time, deal with them, dont lie to the rest of your patients about their "appointment" time. If you are running behind as I am sure happens due to the nature of your business, just say so. Kingma has always been a wonderful dentist. They are great with the kids and aside from this we have always had a fabulous experience. I wish they would respect their patients time as I am sure they would appreciate the patients arriving on time.

Dr. Brett is one of the best doctors I have met. I have seen various doctors over the years but Dr. Brett is far above them all. He has taken my children in and gently dealt with them. Explained things so perfectly for the kids and listened to my fears from a bad experience that my children had at a dentist a couple of years ago. The hygienists are friendly, kind, and thorough in their work. The office staff has welcomed us in with kindness. Dr. Brett does not hurry through patients but takes time for questions and to explain (but we have not waited long in the waiting room!) If you are looking for a pediatric dentist, this is the guy for your family. He is going to be our pediatric dentist for many years! I recommend him as your pediatric dentist with 10 stars, not just 5!

I would certainly recommend Dr. Kingmas office! After searching for someone to look into my three month olds upper lip tie, Dr. Kingmas office was the first to take me seriously. The office staff was very informative on the phone about the consultation/procedure, and they were able to schedule me in less than a week. Dr. Kingma was very patient with us and explained everything clearly. Only one week after the procedure and my son is nursing much better! I only wish it hadnt taken three months to have the procedure done! Based on my experience, I would highly recommend this office to anyone wondering about their childs tongue or lip tie!

Amazing!!! From the brilliant, fun and welcoming adventure themed decor, to the uber kind and patient staff...this place is 5 star!! My son with sensory processing disorder was at ease and they got the job done (no prior dentist could even get his mouth open). My 2 year old cant wait to go back for the cool prizes! Respectful and knowledgeable, Dr Bret took time to talk with my kids and answer my questions. Highly recommend it. Theyre a new practice so get in now while they are taking new patients, and they accept Medicaid!!! Thank you Miss Deb and Dr Bret, my family are lifers at Kingma Pediatric Dentistry
