METLIFE IS OUT OF NETWORK!!!!!!!! When I first scheduled my appointment, I asked the question “Do you take Metlife?” The response was “Yes.” After my initial exam I receive a bill in the mail for $162.00. I call Dr. Bander’s office to find out what is going on. Apparently they do business with my insurance, but they are out of network. Well that would have been nice to know prior to my exam. I should have asked “Is Metlife in Network?” but I figured “Do you take Metlife” as the same thing. I spoke with the office manager, who essentially said that this situation is my fault and will not work with me regarding the $162. Her solution was a payment plan and any alternative is out of the question. I was surprised about the $162, but I was even more surprised with the rigidness of management. I would caution people about this office - not because of the staff (who were great), but due to the fact that both parties were at fault and management reflected all expenses onto the common patient. I am the first one to admit that I am no expert at handling insurance. However, when someone asks “Do you take Metlife” I feel it is implied that they are asking if it is in network. The entire situation leaves me feeling misled and insulted by the complete lack of attempt to find a mutually acceptable solution by management.

I feel like my family has hit the jackpot with this Dental Practice. I have the bad teeth genes in my family, my son has broken his jaw, my daughter lost a tooth on a waterslide accident, and thanks to a horrible accident, my youngest son and I now have PTSD which makes it difficult for any of the drilling/cleaning noise. This practice ALWAYS meets us right where we are, meeting the individual needs we all have with the warmest professionalism while making us seem like the most important patient of their day. Dr. Bander and Dr. Baldwin are amazing dentists...and they are supported by a very intelligent, kind, patient, and supportive staff. We are always greeted personally, wondering how we feel prior to appt and what they can do to make us feel great...their "spa" dentistry offers warm blankets, stress balls, warm neck wraps, Bose Earphones, personal TV, paraffin wax treatment for hands, and nitrous if wanted. If there is a treatment that is tough for your budget, the girls in charge of this department are creative, realistic, and have great options to help what you want to fit in your budget. I feel 100% safe in there hands, they make sure you are not in pain, and I feel safe with them taking care of my children.

Dr. Bander has been my dentist for the last 5 years. He has seen me through the wide range of dental challenges that confront many elderly people. I have been especially grateful that Dr. Bander has been able to perform by himself all the procedures required to treat a problem. For example, until I came under his care, I had to drive between two dentists for an implant, one who who extracted the problem tooth and the other who replaced it with the implant. However simple or complex a problem, Dr. Bander gives it his full consideration and explains his diagnosis and proposed treatment alternatives in a manner that is comprehensible to the patient. Also of importance to me, he is circumspect in his use of X-rays, undertaking only those scans that inform the problem at hand. Dr. Bander and his support staff, both technical and clerical, have created a welcoming atmosphere . They are all skilled in what they do, and they answer questions willingly and thoroughly in person and on the phone. The efficiency of the practice can be noted in the short wait-time at appointments. And it is always nice to be welcomed for my annual appointment by pleasant, familiar faces.

Is it possible to love your dentist?!? Before coming to Dr Bander, I strongly disliked going to mine. Everything about them - the cleanings, the flossings, the snarky attitudes about not doing enough, and especially cavity fillings. When I came to GR, I tried Dr Bander on recommendation from a friend, and Im glad I did. Dr Bander and his staff are first rate professionals. One summer, one of my molars started to ache. I had Dr Bander take a look, and you could imagine my horror when he said a root canal would be necessary...anything but that! The procedure went flawlessly and my fears were completely unfounded. Dr Bander makes me interested in the health of my teeth and makes me want to do better. If you are looking for a dentist, you owe it to yourself to visit Dr Bander and his staff. A genuinely nice man who cares on a personal level for all of his patients. Thanks Dr!

I must say, I (like most people!) admittedly have not been so keen on the dentist in the past, even trying to get them to pull all my teeth (which they wouldnt ;) ) just so I wouldnt have to go back over and over again and deal with the uncomfortable situation! At Dr. Banders office, the calming yet inviting atmosphere, personalized treatment plan options, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and of course the very personable and professional Dr. Bander make this once horrible experience into one in which you actually Dont Mind going to the dentist! I can actually say that I love my dentist and I am very proud to refer Anyone & Everyone that is looking to go and become a new patient, simply because they are amazing and you wont be disappointed!

Ive had a serious dislike of going to the dentist all my life... I recently had a crown fall off and was not looking forward to going back to the dentist I had been seeing. Upon the recommendation of a friend I took a chance and went to see Dr. Bander. I was flabergasted at the level of personal interaction and attention I received from both Dr. Bander and his staff! Dr. Bander took a lot of time to replace the crown and it now fits better than it did when I originally got it! The staff was friendly, fun and its obvious they enjoy their jobs. Going to the dentist is still not my favorite thing to do but Im excited to think I found a place that I wont "hate" going.

My husband and I just joined Dr. Banders office as patients of Dr. Carol Baldwin. Our first visit was a great experience. They had very friendly and professional service and they were timely (even early) with meeting our set appointment times. The facility is clean and welcoming, including great amenities such as a complimentary beverage station and along list of spa like treatments during your appointment. As a patient there you can indulge in massage chairs, warm towels, and eye masks.

Its hard to love coming in for a root canal, but its something that had to be done and thats how I rated it. He made me feel real at ease, took his time and therefore didnt make me nervous about the experience. Ive been going to Dr. Bander for many years now and hes always done an excellent job for me. I have recommended him to other friends and Ive never been sorry that I did because theyve had the same experience. I would recommend Dr. Bander in a heart beat!

I really am very happy that Dr. Bander is my dentist. I love his practice, its so efficient and I feel really well cared for. They let me know what options are available for treating my specific issues, if any, and the office is professional and friendly and timely. I also have found Dr. Bander to be very helpful when necessary with family members who have had special circumstances. I believe him to be on top of the profession and I trust him.
