I been here multiple times. Very awesome staff. They say not to make outsides friends here but i had meet one of my best friends here whos family changed my life. Really could not ask for better place to go when life gets complex. Really awesome staff shout out to jessie and ebony. I also believe if you had a negative experience here it may have been based off of your cooperation with staff and behavior. Idk why the comment below said they never gave out meds my guess maybe rehab related not sure. The staff was very strong about meds being taken during my stay and did 10 or 15 minute rounds. Ive been to worse hospitals if you werent statisfied may be you try a different hospital because i can honestly say you will regret your words. They gave me bus passes. and didnt require my family to take off work for my release like some places. Truth is your not going to find a holiday inn for mental health. If your serious about your treatment this place is for you. Despite being an older building they seem to keep remodeling and improving. Never had a bad experience out of 4 times of being here. Keep that in mind when reading reviews. Im not bias i am being honest and understand what their job is and what my needs were to getting back on the right path.

A ghastly and nightmarish experience that almost justifies all the nonsense you see in movies about hospitals. Ive never had a hospital stay so horrible - and Ive had my fair share. Ill avoid the minor stuff and justify my one-star rating with the major issues about my stay: 1. There were times that my medication simply was not given to me. 2. The two primary psychiatrists were both armed with thick, near-indiscernible Indian accents. Im no racist, but when something as important as my health is being discussed, Id like to be able to understand the doctor the first time they speak. 3. My roommate nearly completed a suicide attempt. 4. The room two doors down from mine caught fire - the suspected cause was faulty wiring in the bathroom. Comforting, no? 5. I found broken glass in my room... twice. 6. My eyeglasses were never returned to me upon my release. My advice? Avoid at all costs. Literally - ALL costs. Youd do better staying at home, supervised and unmedicated, than staying even a single night at this ancient den of mistreatment. Im shocked and disgusted at the notion that this place isnt currently being demolished.
