I have been coming to this location for 6 years. The other day I had a call saying i made an appointment for an exam and they were confirming this for me... I never made any appointment and when i asked when i made this appointment the lady on the phone started getting very loud with me and giving me an attitude. I usually spend around 2,000 per year on myself and 4,000 on my families contacts and eyeglasses, we also buy sunglasses for everybody in the family every summer... I couldnt believe the way this crazed lady was treating me... She finally told me that they AUTOMATICALLY SETUP YOUR EXAMS WITHOUT THE PATIENTS PERMISSION!!!!!!! I laughed and told how long weve had DR. ROY as our family DOCTOR and I did not care for her bad attitude and rudeness... In all Honesty I NEVER LIKED the women who worked there. I asked whom I had the pleasure of speaking to... There was a short pause and the lady said Anne marie... I knew it, she was the one who runs this place. She is doesnt even know anything about eyeglasses but she tries to make everyone think she does.. When ever I brought my family in for exams she would be wearing some revealing clothing in her FAMILY DOCTORS OFFICE... NASTY!!! I told her to cancel my appointment that I never made anyway and I was really angry with her only for several reasons this being one of them. Anne tried to be NICE but it was over... I went to another optical down the street and was treated very well. I asked if they had an automatic appointment setup, they laughed and I did too.. I couldnt believe I stayed there so long... Hope Dr. Roy can figure out what going on before its too late...

After many years going to an optometry office in Troy I decided it was time to make a change and made an appointment with Oakland Optometry in Rochester for my yearly eye exam. I knew right away my decision to switch was the correct one. My eye exam was what I believe to me the most thorough one I have had in years. In addition, Dr. Roy recommended I switch to daily contacts vs. monthly contacts which I did and love. I would recommend Dr. Roy if you need an eye exam in Rochester or in the surrounding area. The staff (Ann Marie and Stephanie) was very friendly and professional. They took time to show me many different styles of prescription sunglasses – no pressure sales which I appreciated. I found a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses which I love as well.

I went here for an eye check up, was not impressed at all. The doctor barely talked to me and wasnt personable at all. then the other ladies were clueless and mean. I didnt get a receipt or a phone call to tell me my contacts were in ever!!! Not professional in my opinion at all.

This optical office has provided dependable eye care for my family for many years and they always have the latest technolgy and eye glass styles. Their exams are very thourough and I trust them with my familys vision.

They are going the extra mile and helping the community! I just read an article in the Detroit News/Free press where they donated reading glasses to a special adult literacy program. Way to go!!

Dr. Roy is an incredible optometrist! I have been going to him for 3 years, and dont plan on switching to another doctor anytime soon.
