Like many have already stated, this place is a rip off. Last year about this time I went in for a pair of glasses. My insurance is really good and covers a lot ( I knew this and so did the people of SVS in Lake Orion). When it was all said and done I walked out with roughly a $500 pair of glasses per their suggestions. In the end it cost me roughly $100 out of pocket. Being this was my first pair of glasses ever I thought it was all fair. Fast forward a year and when I went in just about 2 weeks ago, they did the exact same thing, I said I only wanted the basic frame and lenses. They said "well your insurance covers the better stuff so you mine as well get it". What they meant is that they can sell me even more stuff because my insurance covers a lot again. Here I am telling them I want the basic package again and walked out with $300 lenses. I called back to state I didnt want or need it all and they said all the extras werent the expensive part, they lenses themselves are just pricey. Well if the lenses are pricey why offer people all the other options if they dont cost anything. They are all a bunch of liars and just want to steal from the insurance companies.

All they care about is getting paid!!! I had a regular eye exam and decided that Id switch from glasses to contacts. I paid for the exam and an extra $55 for a "contact fitting," which I assumed was going to be them showing me how to put contacts in my eyes. The lady told me to come theyd call when my contacts arrived. I picked them up and was never shown anything. When I called and asked if I needed to make an appt for the fitting they said no and I could come on Sat. but there may be a wait. I went on Sat. and they said they couldnt do it at all since they were short staffed on sat (their busiest day). They were extremely rude when I asked when I could come back. They blamed me for not taking a "contact fitting class" when I received my lenses, however they failed to even tell me that existed. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody

There are many excellent optical centers to choose from in the area - dont waste your time with this one. The employee tried to upsell me on my young childs glasses with lenses that did not match the prescription, but were much more expensive ($200+). We were also not showed with frames were covered under our plan and were only offered designer, non-covered frames. When my husband spoke to the manager, Wendy, to voice his concerns, she said "Are you done yet?" If you enjoy getting treated poorly and receiving terrible service, this is the place for you!

Made an appointment and showed up on time. The woman behind desk was rude and then proceeded to tell me I was called and told my appointment was cancelled. I told her no one called, she said, "why would our employee make a note that a voicemail was left." Honestly? Why would I show up if I knew the appointment was cancelled? Why would they even be open if they was no optometrist on site? Horribly rude. I will not be back. I should have looked at the reviews of this establishment.

Expensive, sure, but I have terrible eyes and the optometrist on duty (i forgot her name but she was blonde and WONDERFUL) was such a great doctor. She was funny and kind and extremely welcoming. I believe she is new, since the last time I went (over a year ago) I had a man who had a crappy attitude. I love the new optometrist.

Came in ordered glasses they said my glasses would be in within 5 to 7 business days. its now going on 3 weeks missed business opportunities and ventures at work due to me not having my glasses and not being able to complete the job thoroughly.
