Do NOT go here! I took my dog here for 1.5 years and the last time I took him there was because he had bloat which can kill a dog in 2-3 hours. He had it overnight before I realized what it was so he was extremely sick. They made me wait in the waiting room for 45 mins even though they knew it was an emergency. When my dog threw up in the waiting room it took them 20 mins before someone came to clean it up. Then once in the room they told me they didnt think he had bloat b/c he would have been dead by now then after doing xrays came and told me he had bloat, NO CRAP!!!!!! Then the dr said he did not have time to do the surgery but recommended I go to an animal hospital 45 mins away. I couldnt believe he wouldnt do it considering he charges $3500 for the surgery plus however long my dog would have to stay there. Needless to say I am glad I drove the 45 mins and paid $7000 or else my dog probably would not have made it. Also when my dog was a puppy I took him there to get neutered and ever since then he has been extremely aggressive towards drs and vet techs. After reading other reviews about them mistreating animals at Rossoni I now know why he is like that and thanks to these cruel people I have to deal with 150lb dog that is out of control at the vet. Dont let their lower prices fool you, they do not care about you or your pet. And to Jacob, actually no they did not refer me to AP Emergency Vet. I obviously know the place he referred me to was 45 mins away b/c I drove there. It was in Southfield, like I said, 45 mins away. I have also read a lot about aggression in dogs considering I am dealing with an aggressive dog that weighs more than me. I am not channeling any type of aggressive feelings through to my dog. I was never even worried about him being aggressive until he suddenly started going crazy at the vet out of no where. I know for a fact they had someone that worked there when my dog went there that was very stern in the way she handled dogs b/c I saw her grab my PUPPY by his choke collar b/c he was bored from sitting in their tiny rooms for over a half hour to get a shot.

I have a 14 year old cat that I accidentally ran over last week. I went to A & W vet on Chernick off of telegraph but they were "too busy." I was pissed off because this cat is like my kid and they refused to see him. I went to Rossoni because it was the next closest vet to my house. They got my cat in right away. The dr. suggested he stay for x rays and I come back in a couple hours. In two hours I came back and the dr showed me my cats x rays. I let the dr. Know that I wasnt rich and that I couldnt afford extensive surgery. His foot had a clean break, his ankle was fractured, and from the angle of the x ray it was apparent that my cat had fractured his hip in which case I told the staff I opted to put him down BUT I wanted to take him home that night (with a pain injection) so my son and I could spend one last night with him. The next day I showed up ready to have him put down. The nurse had called the dr and he said that he wanted to do one more x ray just to be sure. He ended up coming in on his day off to do another x ray which showed his hip was not fractured. Made my day, I was heartbroken that I had to put my best friend to sleep but since the dr came in, made a special trip on his day off, I am sitting here with my cat now, in a blue glitter cast. Today was his 5 day follow up appointment and all of the staff greeted my cat, called him by his name, and were genuinely concerned about his healing process. Awesome first experience with Rossoni animal hospital. Wont be going anywhere else

After boarding my dog here for 10 days, she refused to eat the next 4 days and was generally lethargic. After the 1st day of not eating, I took here into our family vet, where a series treatments of throughout the next 4 days did not reveal any issues (blood work, Upper GI, X-Rays, IV, antibiotics...a nice ~$1000 worth of bills). Luckily she started eating on the 5th day and has since been fine. My main issue was I called Rossonis to let them know what was going on and find out if anything had happened during her stay. They seemed real defensive and would not stop focusing on the 3 hours after we picked up the dog and not the 10 days they had the dog. After it was all said and done, Rossoni did not call or follow up on to see how she was doing, leading to believe they just didnt care, we picked up the dog and now she was our problem not theirs. We did not find the root of the problem, so I do not blame Rossoni for any mistreatment, just would not take my dog back because of their indifference towards the continued health of the animal they boarded.

Dr. Schollenberger and his staff are wonderful, caring people. Their main concern is the animals health. I currently have a beagle with pancreatitis and while is been a long road, they have been very supportive along the way. Dr Schollenberger is gentle, so the dogs arent scared to go in the building. He takes the time to call me back when I call him for an update on her, and we chat about the condition for about 5-10 minutes. He makes sure all our questions are answered, and we are comfortable. Prices are very affordable and the facility has state of the are equiptment if there may be a surgery or emergency. I have had dogs (beagles) prior to the two I have not and they have been great with all of them!

I just do NOT understand the negative reviews posted here! My family has been coming here since I was a child ~ most likely since shortly after Dr. Rossoni opened the business. We have NEVER been disappointed ~ especially not since Dr. Schollenberger took over. EVERYone there cares not only about the pets but their families!!!! I have NEVER seen ANYthing but gentleness, kindness and compassion. I LOVE and RESPECT each and every person working there. I would NEVER take my babies anywhere else!!!

The grounds are kept very nice. Facility is small, well lit at night. Do hope it is determined who is not cleaning up after the fur babies on at the north west, (front corner of the parking lot most often used by people going to the groomer not associated with the vet). The staff seems to stay to themselves. I had customers some liked the vet and others did not.

They truly care about your pets, they take their time & make sure all of your questions are answered. They can handle any service from normal vets, microchips, surgery, even vacation stay. We love all of the staff & recommend them to anyone looking for a quality vet & caring staff as we will never take our Yorkies (we breed AKC) anywhere else.
