I would never, ever switch to another Veterinary practice. I have been taking my pets to DePorre probably since around 2002 or so? I took my first cat there not long after I first moved to Michigan. Back then we saw Dr.Jules whom we loved! In later years, we started seeing Dr.Lewis, who is our primary "go to" at DePorre. That being said EVERYONE at DePorre is professional, considerate, loving to our pets, knowledgeable and truly caring. Their level of professionalism is unsurpassed. Dr.Lewis is beyond dedicated, never makes me feel rushed, answers all of our questions and is always putting the best interest of our pets first. The reception staff is kind and patient, they are also professionals. I know that working at a Veterinary Practice is NOT easy, and we appreciate all of the love, care and professionalism that is exhibited towards our pets.

Excellent! From the moment you step into DePorre Veterinary to the privacy of their check out system, superb professionalism is evident. Friendly and helpful reception staff, well prepared vet techs, knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarians and a very discreet and private check out and payment method is done within the examination room--something I appreciate very much. The atmosphere of the well designed and planned veterinary facility is calming, comfortable and pleasant. Wait times are minimal and examination rooms are pristinely cleansed to received our dearest and precious friends. I have been taking my mini wiredhaired dachshund to DePorre for almost nine years now and Anson is always greeted with smiles which makes him feel like a "King for the Day" and most importantly, Anson gives them SIX stars!!!

My family has been seeing DePorre Veterinarians ever since I was a little girl, over 50 years. We have covered all aspects of doggy care from the birth of 8 bulldog puppies, adoption of dogs from shelters, cancer treatment and even the inevitable care of helping our dogs pass with dignity and comfort. They have made fast, well thought out referrals when needed and have always been available over the phone when needed. I have not met a vet at DePorre that was not passionate or caring. They look at not just caring for our pets but for our emotional and educational needs as well. They are a wonderful family of professionals, caring, compassionate and respectful of animals and owners alike. I would recommend them to anyone, no matter what the situation. They are wonderful.

I have been taking my animal companions to DePorre Veterinary Hospital since 1992 and I feel extremely fortunate to have found them. Their facility is top notch and aside from the employees acting very professional and friendly, Dr. Jules DePorre has been a godsend as I have always felt very comfortable with him both as a veterinarian and as a person. He is as caring and thoughtful of a person that I could have ever hoped to entrust the care of my animal companions with. I have seen 2-3 other veterinarians at the practice and have never had an unhappy experience with any of them. There is a reason why the practice has won as many awards as it has over the years in various magazine polls of the best veterinary practice.

We have taken both of our cats to DePorre and even though we are on the other side of town now, it is worth the trip. All the doctors we have seen have been knowledgeable and personable, and they have even been able to recommend other great doctors when we needed to see a cardiologist for our kitten with a congenital heart disorder. If you make an appointment, they take you right to your own exam room when you check in, the doctor comes in quickly, and you are back out the door and on your way soon after that. Special cat rooms on the other side of the building to keep them away from the dogs. I would recommend anyone looking for a new vet to make an appointment with DePorre.

Love DePorre Veterinary Hospital and their boarding and grooming services. The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Fox is wonderful, very patient and compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. She was with us throughout our first Golden Retrievers life and continues to be with us for our current Golden. Sylvia is the best! She always greets Primo by name and is very helpful and accommodating. She knows the office well. I highly recommend DePorre Veterinary Hospital, as well as the adjacent Bloomfield Grooming and Boarding services.

We have been a part of DePorre Veterinary hospital for 30 years. There are no words to describe what a wonderful hospital they are. We have had 6 dogs to date and have lost 4 of them within 30 years and every one of them has been taken care of by this veterinary hospital. We have had emergency surgery.....on a Saturday at 4 pm the Dr. stayed and took care of our dear Cosmo.....they have sent us to specialist when our dog, Gidget, had a ruptured cornea. They are an amazing operation....I would never take my doggies anywhere but DePorre!!

Professional, kind, caring & friendly - my dog is happy to go there - both for veterinary care & for grooming - he runs right in - & has received excellent treatment &/or advice when hes had health challenges - with facts & science combined with common sense. In a couple of instances where specialists have advised some more extreme treatments - after consulting with DePorre docs who are familiar with the patient (& his human) combined with a reasoned point of view - weve taken a less extreme path & achieved great results - yay!!

Both my dogs have gone to DePorre, and Ive never had a bad experience. This dates back 23 years. Every vet, tech, and staff member who works there loves dogs, and cares for mine like they would their own. Our Mitzi, a rescue, gets less anxious on every visit because of the special attention she gets from every member of the DePorre team. I also like that Dr. Fox is not alarmist about Mitzis special quirks. She accepts her just as she is, and goes out of her way to make Mitzi comfortable. DePorre definitely gets 2 thumbs up!

When your dog is ill they tell you that if you would like your dog to be seen the same day it will be an extra charge. Why this is I cant figure out. They are not calling in an extra vet, they are not staying open later. This is not a place that is willing to build a relationship with you and your pet. They are trying to make money off of you when your pet is hurting the most. Seems to me if they have availability in their schedule to see your pet it should be at the standard rate.

DePorre is by far the best Vet hospital in town. We came to them after our puppy enjested a chemo drug & our current vet couldnt be bothered to monitor his emergency line. We called DePorre & was referred to an emergency center. Patches survived. The next day Dr. Lewis called to check up on Patches. We have been loyal patients for 9 happy years. Patches loves Dr. Lewis. We mention his name and Patches is waiting at the door.

I cant say enough about Deporre. The care I have gotten for my fur babies has been above and beyond any other vet I have been to. When going the painful decision to let my Daisy go, everyone treated me with the utmost care, patience and love. I see Dr. Fox and she is truly AMAZING! She takes time with me, understands what I think and need and has the biggest heart. I am so thankful I found Deporre Veterinary hospital!
