In my 7 year old daughters words, he is very sweet! Best doctor ever, he does his best to not intimidate his patients, and treats them like they are family! Ive always been a bit intimidated by doctors, but he will go above and beyond to ensure that you feel comfortable with him! There is nothing cold or clinical about this man, he is one of the warmest people Ive ever met. He is very forthcoming with me about what he thinks may be wrong whenever Ive had a health issue. All of my doctors in the past, I would have to really push at them in order to get answers, and they seemed to dislike that. You can feel completely comfortable being totally honest with this man, and you will never feel judged for it! You will never feel like youre being rushed, and your visits will start to feel like youre going to see an old friend, though perhaps an old friend who is a brilliant obgyn. Also, whenever I have brought my children with me, he always gives them a huge hug, tells them he loves them, and then goes and finds some goodies to send them home with! I have two regrets concerning this doctor: 1. That I didnt meet him sooner 2. That I cant also have him as my family doctor and my therapist as well! Thanks so much Dr. Mickelson, you have completely boosted my confidence when dealing with doctors, and made my visits something that I can look forward to instead of dreading!

My wife had an irregular period, so we went to an examination and visited twice to this doctor. Both times he kept talking about nonsense stuff about his friends experience in China and so on. Then he decided everything was ok, my wife just needed to take some blood tests. They took 6 tubes of blood the first time and 7 tubes the second time. It looked terrifying, so we asked the nurse what tests they were, and she said she didnt know, only the doctor asked to do. The doctor had never told us what the tests were. When we received the bill, it was $2,000 after insurance coverage ... I had to complain it via our insurance provider and my company lawyer to reduce the amount. Immediately switched doctor after that.

Not so good my wife went for second opinion for ovarian cyst ( known) removal-advised tests not needed and only at his referred lab alone, more tests IVP X ray chest and will do the surgery at only Huron rd Valley Hospital , though can be done as outpatient and was done so later on... then he did services not needed and billed to BCBS TOO BAD drs bafna.
