Before meeting Dr Bree and began my care at ELC I was in excruciating pain. I had severe pain that ran down the back of both legs from my glutes to my knees. The pain was so severe that I was unable to do most things I had use to (such as exercise, walk the dog, or even carry groceries in the house) as the pain made me cry out. It became so intense that I took an entire 100 pill bottle of ibuprofen in just 2 days. When I went to my regular doctor all I got was more pain meds. For 5 months I took the maximum dose of the Vicodin my doctor prescribed me, 2 Vicodin every 4 hrs all day long. And this wasnt just during the daytime; I would wake up from the pain and have to take more pain meds to get back to sleep. The Vicodin itself wasnt enough either, I had to supplement the 2 of them with 2 ibuprofen AND 2 Tylenol to get full relief from the pain for those 4 hours. All the time my doctor kept refilling my Vicodin prescription. I asked him if there were any tests that could be done to find the cause of my pain and he did a blood test to check my muscle enzymes, which were normal, but he never did anything else. I began researching this problem myself and thought I had fibromyalgia. My doctor agreed and then prescribed me a medication for that. But all that did was cancel out the benefits of my pain meds. I was at my wits end when my wife suggested trying her chiropractor, Dr Bree. I had been to several chiropractors in the past and while their treatment was helpful, too much of their energy went into keeping me as a client. Regardless of my progress and if o still needed to be seen by them or not. So while i was open to trying Essentials of Life Chiropractic and Dr Bree, I was cautious about how any treatment plan might be suggested given my past experiences with some other chiropractors. Thankfully from the very beginning of my experience at ELC, it was obvious that their property is helping their clients and not simply locking them into a legal contract that secures them future business. I was immediately impressed with how Dr Bree assured me that she on wanted me coming to ELC as long as o felt I needed to and as long as she could help me. This was also restated in the treatment plan I ultimately agreed on. Also, before Dr Bree told me what was wrong and causing my pain, she did tests and she listened to me! Through these steps she found where she should begin treatment to help address my pain. Immediately Dr Bree found that my right leg was about an inch shorter than the other leg. Through multiple adjustments a week my pain began to be reduced. For the first time in over 6 months I found some relief from the constant pain. After 4-5 weeks I was doing well enough to cut back to 2 times a week. And still my pain improved. I was able to get done to just 1 Vicodin every 7-8 hrs due to Dr Brees help. The help and relief from my severe pain was because of my ongoing treatment and periodic retesting by Dr Bree and the ELC staff. I am indebted to them for doing what my own doctor could not. Which was find s healthy, non-evasive way to treat my pain without the chance of becoming addicted to pain medication. I will always be thankful I listen to a suggestion to just go and talk to the staff at ELC to see if there is anything they can do to help. Because they really do just want to see their clients feel better and to live happy and healthy lives.

Essentials of Life Chiropractic has changed my life. I had back surgery in 2011 from a 32 fall off of a roof. At first the surgery helped, but as time went on things declined to the point where it was actually worse than before the surgery. I met with multiple surgeons in November of 2016. I tried injections, physical therapy, and different chiropractors. At that point, I was close to bed ridden from the pain. The surgeon said there were very few options left to try. Option 1 was to have a 3-level spinal fusion surgery (which at age 33 was not feasible). Option 2 was to live off pain pills (Vicodin, Tramadol). Option 3 was to do a "nerve burning" procedure. None of these sounded like a great way to spend the next years of my life. I was referred to ELC by a massage therapist that worked for a different chiropractor. I was very reluctant to try any more chiropractic care, since all of my previous experience with chiropractors was unsuccessful. I scheduled an appt. for the nerve burning procedure but decided to go to ELC to at least hear their opinion. I went there with little intention of getting anything but an opinion. After going through the scans with Dr. Tony and his proposed treatments, I stopped him in the middle of his proposal and asked him "do you actually think you can help me?". Without hesitation he said, "yes". To this day it still surprises me, but I believed him. We started treatment immediately and Dr. Tony and his team went to work. Within 3 months I was pain free. This was 13 months ago, and I have been pain free and pain pill free ever since. Since starting with ELC, I have been golfing again, doing yard work, playing with my kids, and playing softball. I truly owe getting my life back to Dr. Tony and the ELC team. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say "thank you" for everything.

I dont even know where to begin that can give Dr. Tony the credit he deserves for changing my life. I suffer from Diabetes, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, a debilitating rare nerve injury called Brachial Plexopathy, and I had near zero mobility in my neck. The Brachial Plexopathy causes constant severe pain, and also causes my arms to be numb and lose most of my strength. I suffered this injury 18 months ago, and was told by some of the top neurologists in the state that all I can do is wait and see if it gets better. As time went on, the pain persisted, which greatly affected my mood. It took its toll on my family, and was on the verge of losing them. I had been seen by Dr. Tony a few years prior, and on a prayer, decided to see if there was anything he could do. I got my scans, and just as we anticipated...... Not good! Basically my body was shutting down. I scheduled my appointments and eagerly waited for the next scan. After only one month, I am extremely happy to announce that my blood sugars have dropped to the point that I have been taken off two of my five diabetes meds, and am weaning off of my ADHD meds. Both with absolutely no side affects. But the most exciting news is I have mobility in my neck, and have been PAIN FREE for about a week. There is a "pep" back in my step, and my family, (especially my beautiful, loving, patient wife of 23 years), are seeing the old me back. I cannot thank Dr. Tony enough for basically saving my life, and I truly dont think that is overstating my experience at all!!! Thank You so much Dr. Tony. You are a Godsend. No question about it!!!
