Worst coverage ever! I get insurance through my employer and found in my explanation of benefits that a preventative visit is covered.... so I did a routine physical in January. 11 mo later Im still fighting that bill!! It took 6mo for them to even process the claim initially... then I called and asked them to reprocess after they denied my claim. It clearly states in my explanation of benefits that these procedures should be covered.... they never reprocessed the claim and never follow up!! so I call back and am advised to file an appeal. So I write a two page later and print off my explanation of benefits and screen shots to support my appeal... and now Im hearing back that the appeal is denied NOT because it doesnt fit the criteria within my EOB... they are denying because the appeal wasnt submitted within 180 days of the initial processing! How am I supposed to do that when you take 6 mo to get the bill to me to begin with and then FORGET to reprocess my claim when I call about it... Why am I even having to appeal something that is stated in my explanation of benefits as being covered?? Health insurance is pointless.

I have FSA thru Medica and the experiences I have had so far is terrible. It is a nightmare to deal with. Most of my claims got denied first without detail explanation. Most of the front line representatives are lack of training on almost everything - especially knowledge of Medica Products, and soft skills. My calls got routed to different departments and yet I still could not get my issues resolved. I wonder if they try to deny the claims all the time to deter people from making further actions, so they can keep the unclaimed money at the end. I can sense the greed of the typical insurance company. I have filed complaints with our HR department and hopefully by doing so, and if HR hears enough of it, our HR can switch to different Health Plan. If you have a choice, go with different health plan, and if you are like me that have to take the health plan your employer gives you, put in your two cents with your HR department to encourage them shop around.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Long phone wait times (40+ minutes) any time I call. Extremely unhelpful representatives as well, they are unwilling to help in any way to resolve issues especially filing and clerical issues. They struggle communicating with the MNsure Marketplace and seemingly misplace all of my information. I was so mad and frustrated by the end of my last 1.5 hour phone call with them my hands were shaking. If I could cancel my policy without taking a tax penalty, I would do so immediately. You sinply cant trust this company to take care of you.

When I call I have to go through more than 2 people which takes alot of time waiting. (30min or more) Another time a medica rep. Said he set up a ride, and found out he didnt complete it. So I had to take more time waiting on the phone a long time till 45 min and 2 different people later to get help. Another thing is they want us to call to make an appointment for the next day,which is fine,but some of us arent able to call till after 5 ,however this prevents us to take the appointment for the next day....

Wait time to speak with anyone at Medica right now is over 30 minutes. Called multiple numbers and extensions with the same result. Unable to speak with anyone, and expected wait times keep increasing as you sit on hold. Health insurance coverage is fine, but customer service is lacking significantly. I understand health insurance companies are busy right now with the new year and affordable care act, but this type of service ridiculous. Sign up with another company online like I did in just minutes!

THEY HAVE HORRIBLE PHONE WAIT TIMES! You try to get help online, they tell you to call. You try calling, its 40 minutes and you only have a 15 minute break IN THE MORNING to call and they still have a long hold time. Hire more people so you can actually help your clients not frustrate them. Update your website, it says your line is open until 8 p.m. and your phone said 6 p.m. after I tried calling at 6:06 p.m. last night! VERY FRUSTRATING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Terrible the way they treat HUMAN BEINGS! Covering then cancelling coverage of needed procedures like crowns. Back and forth! NOT COVERING THE 8 BACK TEETH AT ALL?! Seriously, what is WRONG WITH YOU.
