What sets Dr. Olson apart from most other chirpractors, doctors, and physical therapists is the way that he attacks all issues at the core. Instead of masking an illness with medication, Dr. Olson looks at the internal workings of the system by using state-of-the-art laboratory testing, hormonal system balancing, digestive tract cleansing, and detoxification of the human body. Instead of jumping right to the conclusion of surgery, Dr. Olson uses many different techniques and therapies to diagnose the problem, treat the problem, and make sure the issue does not return, removing the need to go under the knife. The functional medicine practice that Dr. Olson implements has been shown to resolve the symptoms of depression, dementia/Alzheimers, ADHD/autism, IBD (Ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease, irritable bowel syndrome), fibromyalgia, Parkinsons, and many more! I have changed my diet, my workout routine, my lifestyle, and my overall understanding of the human body in the years that I have know Dr. Olson. Ive been using Dr. Olson as my chiropractor for about a year and a half now and have had nothing but a great experience. He listens to what I say is bothering me and modifies my treatments as needed. I am physically active with cycling, kickboxing, resistance training, and horseback riding. This leads to tweaks and aches and pains all over. With Dr. Olsons knowledge in chiropractic and ART, he typically has me back to full function in a very short time period. Recently, I have been experiencing increased stress/anxiety and difficulty sleeping. He and I discussed the potential benefits adding acupuncture to my treatment regimen might have and we have begun that, as well. It is always a pleasure to go into his office, he is always smiling and very professional. He has even answered questions for me outside of appointments when I cant make it down to the office. I have been going to Optimal Health since they opened. They are always professional and very knowledgeable. Dr Ole is constantly enrolling in classes to further his education and training. He has never been just a back cracker - he gets involved in his patients health and wants them to be the best they can be. I love that I can ask him questions and if he doesnt know the answer he will research and find it for you! He is always encouraging his patients to learn and do more for their bodies. Thru Optimal Health I have learned more about how the body truly can heal itself and since seeing Dr Ole my family is sick much less often. I would and do encourage all my family and friends to see him any chance they get..not just when in pain or sick. Unlike most chiropractors; Dr. Olson at Optimal Health takes time to figure out the root cause of peoples problems. After months of physical therapy and orthopedic surgeon visits telling me there was nothing wrong with my shoulder, Dr. Olson diagnosed the problem to be coming from a pinched nerve in my neck. That saved me years of suffering and dysfunction, I was able to have a minimally invasive surgery and get it fixed instantly. I still go to him frequiently for my degenerative disks in my back, hip dysfunction, or whatever else is bothering me. Anybody can crack your back and say see you in a week, but I prefer Dr. Olson who literally looses sleep trying to figure out ways to get his patients to their peek performance and back to their active lifestyles...

I have been going to Dr. Olson since he has opened and due to a car accident I have had many back issues that seemed no matter where I went prior to his office never helped me get better. Once I started to see what Dr. Olsons clinic provided for me was amazing as he has a wide variety of solutions not just your minimal adjustments. He has taught me and my family so much about how to stay healthy as I was diagnosed with Celiac this year and always forwards me brochures or tips when I see him regarding how to make my life easier having this. The name of Dr. Olsons business truly says it all, Optimal Health is what he strives to provide all of his patients. Whether it is a sore neck, back ache, or sports related injury Dr. Olson helps educate you on the core reason for your systems. Optimal Health, the name says it all. Dr. Olsen and his set of acquired skills will get you back into proper alignment and mobile function. He finds the origin of each injury and then proceeds to treat it with the most state of the art practices. Injuries are not masked with medication or quick fixes, but worked on with proper techniques and care. Dr. Olsen is always showing me different exercises and stretches to do in order to strengthen and prevent future injuries. If you are experiencing any abnormal discomforting pain, I highly recommend Dr. Olsen and Optimal Health.

NEW TO TOWN! I am new to the Ankeny area and was looking for a chiropractic place due to having a headache and poor eye vision for about a week. I called and they were able to get me in SAME DAY!!
