We have found a new Vet in Minnetonka Animal Hospital!! When my pup fell ill recently my previous vet was not receptive to my concerns, and made me feel as if I was over-reacting, they also could not see my dog in a reasonable length of time. I decided to call to get a second opinion and Minnetonka Animal Hospital validated my concerns and was able to see my dog within an hour and a half. They diagnosed him quickly and I felt confident in the diagnosis they gave me. They called regularly after our appointment to check on the status of my puppy. The care is excellent the staff are knowledgable. They also provide a very welcoming, calming environment that was as stressfree as possible for my puppy and myself. Everyone there is extremely kind and they really understand that pets are improtant members of the family. Cost is very reasonable and competitive with other area vets as well. This vet is over twice as far away as our old vet, but the drive is worth it for the wonderful care and great staff!

We first became familiar with Minnetonka Animal Hospital 1 year ago when our fur baby of 14 years became gravely ill and we had to utilize their end of life services. Everyone (the front desk staff, vet technicians and Dr. Howe) was extremely kind, empathetic, helpful and understanding. We were not rushed through the process but given as much time as we wanted to say goodbye to Layla and decide how we wanted to proceed. We were even given a hand made clay plaque with Laylas paw prints and name on it and a few days later received a lovely condolence card in the mail with heartfelt messages from the entire staff. Now, 1 year later, we adopted a pup from Secondhand Hounds and her first puppy check-up was fun and very informative. We received a Puppy Handbook with tons of helpful information and referrals. We were even encouraged to stop in with Gidget anytime to say hello and receive love and puppy treats! We wholeheartedly recommend MAH for all your veterinary needs.

Everyone that I met in this clinic is amazing! Dr. Leilani knew just how to handle my dog who was in pain; she touched him so gently and he melted in her care. Her assistant was Emily, who was equally gentle. I was worried he was going to die because hes 13 years old, but Dr. Leilani reassured me that it wasnt his time. Shes like the dog whisperer. He had multiple problems for which they prioritized with me. They spent a great deal of time with us, educated me every step of the way, and asked my permission before tests or performing any treatment. Biscus wouldnt step on the left rear leg and his arthritic right leg was doing all the work. When we left, he was walking on both legs and wagging his tail! His diarrhea also cleared up in a couple days with the meds he received, and Laura called and e-mailed me several times during that week to ask how he was doing. We will definitely be going back to follow up on his other medical issues.

I went the the Minnetonka Animal Hospital per the good reviews and in the end was disappointed. The kindness of the doctor and nurse is the only reason I give two stars over one. After they finished their exam I was brought a list of tests that seemed excessive due to the symptoms showing. We went for the one test that matched the symptoms "300 dollars less then what they suggested" and found to be the cause of the sickness. After we completed our visit the doctor stated she would email me some suggestions of food we can try. I have yet to receive any emails since my visit even though I stated email was the preferred contact method. The final straw for me was after my visit I was called stating I was not charged the whole amount which turned out to be false. I was not contacted after the mistake as they stated they would. Overall disappointed and would not go back.

In June of 2013, we adopted a senior terrier mix who had been neglected, abandoned, and was near death when found on the street. We didnt have a vet, but found Minnetonka Animal Hospital online and have been so thankful ever since. Dr. Kaaren and her staff are the most loving and caring people we have had the pleasure of knowing. Our little Missy was diagnosed with cancer and given weeks to live. Through the innovative care she received at Minnetonka Animal Hospital, she was with us for almost six months. Every single person Missy came in contact with loved her like she was their own pup. When the time came for Missy to leave us, the compassion shown by Dr. Kaaren and her staff was unbelievable. We have nothing but warm and wonderful memories of Missy, and so many of those memories were possible because of the loving care we all received from Minnetonka Animal Hospital.

INSANE costs and push unnecessary tests/procedures. Feel like they are used car salesmen in that they recommend things that are not needed and guilt you into doing them. What broke the camels back for me was a $2,500 dental quote for my dogs teeth which were in "terrible shape." Went to a vet wed gone to before for dental work and got a quote for $250 for a basic cleaning and one easy extraction which "is all thats needed." That is absolutely criminal. How many people are just paying that without getting a second quote? Shameful really. You can be the best vet in the country, but these gross overcharges instills mistrust and bitterness that youve been taken when youre just trying to do the right thing for your pet.

I am proud to have used MAH for the past 25+ years to care for my feline "kids". I would never go elsewhere. They offer the best possible professional care, and Ive found they are highly respected by other facilities, such as the U of M Small Animal Hospital. When I had to admit Timmy to the ICU there, the doc said that MAH had just about the best veterinary care available. I especially love that Dr. Kaaren, Dr. Leilani and the others understand owners love for their pets and tend to their emotional needs as well. They go out of their way to be Good Samaritans. From Joan, cats Timmy, Humphrey, Bobby and Milo (all waiting at the Rainbow Bridge) and Jenny, my 19-year-old princess.

We brought our dog here a few times after she was diagnosed with lymphoma. They took great care of her when it was her time to leave. They offered an ornament with her paw print to remember her by. They were so kind and the whole staff sent a sympathy card to us. After months went by we adopted a new pet from the Humane Society. We brought him here for his first visit and Dr. Michelle is great! She suggested we bring him to some dog obedience classes and he has been doing better ever since! He even had to go to the emergency vet for an allergic reaction and they even called to check on him. These are wonderful people who work here. They truly care for all the animals.

This animal hospital goes above and beyond to ensure that your pet is getting the best possible care. I brought my bunny, Daisy, here to get some cloudiness in her eyes checked out and she ended up being diagnosed with glaucoma. Dr. Siobhan Strom has been so kind, caring, and knowledgeable. I feel that Daisy is getting the best possible care and I appreciate the time that Dr. Strom has taken to make sure that all of my questions are answered and that I am well-informed. The hospital even calls between appointments to check on how Daisy is doing. I definitely recommend this animal hospital!!
