Disregard any poor customer service reviews. Those high maintenance people are the ones nobody can satisfy and will find something wrong no matter the circumstance. I want to thank everyone at Rum River for taking great care of my very sick Yorkie Poo. My first visit, and from the second I walked in the door to the follow up, they were fantastic! Chloe was near death from something affecting her liver and stomach when I brought her in. They got me in right away and began the exam. Dr. Heidi Kuebelbeck was very knowledgeable, professional and explained things in a manner I understood. Charges were explained upfront and no surprises. Valerie and everyone else at the desk was friendly and helpful when I wanted to see how Chole was doing throughout the day. The care and medical path that was done worked and Im happy to report that Chloe is doing much better, taking nourishment, wagging her tail again and will be chasing her favorite blue ball very soon. Great job to all! I have a new Vet now and will pass on the great experience.

Best vet clinic by far that I have ever been to! I have been taking my animals (3 dogs and 3 cats) here for 5 years and I have never had a bad experience. The vets are really knowledgeable and understanding. They are very reasonable about working with you to find the best treatment plan for your pet and your budget. Not the cheapest clinic out there, but definitley not the most expensive either. Worth every penny in my opinion. I have also been consistently impressed by the technicians and front desk staff. They are helpful and friendly, they take the time to get to know you and your pets. I have witnessed them going above and beyond to help people and pets in need. When my dog was sick they helped him even though it meant they had to stay past close! Not every vet/technician would do this for you! I would recommend this clinic to anyone that wants fair prices, kind staff, and compassionate medicine.

I just visited the rum river veterinary today. Kelly was so kind. She was sympathetic to my concerns and got me in the same day. This wasnt my regular vet and I felt as though I needed a second opinion since I didnt get many answers at my primary vet. They did a thorough examination and gave me options as to how to handle the diagnosis (my dog has allergies). I left with confidence in how I can help my fur - baby cope with his itchy/scratchy behavior. The inititial exam is a bit pricey but they didnt pressure me into anything other then what they thought was a priority & didnt try to up-sell like most vets do. The focus seemed to be on my dog instead of my wallet. Thank you veterinary team of Rum River.

Unfortunately we wont be returning. After a second bad experience with the front desk staff weve decided to take our pets elsewhere. I dropped off my dog to be fixed and paid in advance. When my wife went to pick him up they said the bill wasnt paid. They told her she couldnt have our dog back until the bill was paid. When they finally figured out that somebody failed to enter it into the computer they let her take him home. You would think a person would be apologetic about such a mistake. They just continued to be rude and cold. Id like to think we could find a vet with better customer service. Dont want to leave my animals in the care of such people.

I took my cat here for the first time (just moved to the area) and was very pleased with the actual vet. He was full of information and very helpful to me and my cat. The front desk girls left something to be desired. Upon calling a few days prior to get some pricing and information, I felt like every one would be great; when I walked in the door, no one seemed eager or even interested in helping me. It just seemed like they all had better things to do. A bit disappointing after a pleasant phone call, but the most important factor is the vet - hes the one seeing my pet and he was very nice to work with.

Rum River Veterinary went above and beyond to help our beloved family cat of 17 years. He was in a horrible accident and after a stay at the pet hospital, and calling all other vets, Rum River Vet was the only place in town that would take him right away to even be evaluated. They did an amazing job on his trauma surgery and the little guy was like new. They were also very sympathetic and helpful when it was time to put our cat to rest. I was so grateful for all they did when we were so upset and stressed out. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic for your family pets- they will be in good hands here.

Ive lived in Anoka county for 6 years and this is the best vet Ive gone to. I came in 20 minutes early and they got me right into a room to let my cats out of their kennels. They spray a calming spray in the room and my cats loved it! They were rubbing on everything and rolling around on the floor. Dare I say, they had fun at a vet-who knew!The ladies up front, the vet and vet tech were very friendly and gave the kitties compliments. They gave me detailed paperwork and some sample calming wipes for a trip were taking out of state. Would highly recommend!

Compassionate group of individuals - Made me feel welcomed from the minute I walked thru the door. First time visitor with a sick dog - I did not get the answer I wanted to hear as she was a lot sicker then I had thought.... I got the all facts, our options, and the costs. Nice group of people that seem to love what they do - 5 stars and a thumbs up. Thank you all at Rum River.

I went in for an emergency visit because my regular vet didnt have any openings. Whole experience was great from talking on the phone and making the appointment to care we received from all of the staff. The exam was thorough, and she did a great job explaining everything to us, and most importantly our dog is better! We are switching to this clinic permanently no question.

The staff is absolutely wonderful and devoted. This is definitely our forever vet clinic. One of our cats has heart disease and we have to make lots of visits. They have always been caring and very helpful . They also take the time to talk and answer every question we have. I would recommend to anyone that loves there pet and wants them to be in good hands.

What a friendly group of animal people. I made an appointment on short notice. Upon arrival the receptionist welcomed the cats by name before us which I thought was great. They explained processes in a way that was very logical and precise. A few days after the appointment they even got a welcome card. I highly recommend Rum River!

Had an urgent situation with our dog and they were able to get her in within an hour. All the staff was kind and friendly! It was obvious their first priority was helping our dog, taking time to thoroughly explain things. Their prices were very affordable. We will definitely be back here!
