I learned about Dr. McMahon after I saw his feature in the Mpls. St. Paul Magazine on Medical Stars on the Rise: Top Doctors in MN. I was very impressed with his credentials (President of the Minnesota Allergy Society, Assistant Professor at the U of M, started the Minnesota Allergy Journal Club and attended very well-respected schools). Ive seen many doctors about my allergies and asthma throughout my life but have never received very good results. After reading the feature on Dr. McMahon, I decided to schedule an appointment with him and Im so happy I did. I cant say enough positive things about him! Dr. McMahon listened to all of my problems and came up with an effective solution. I was shocked that after several years of dr. visits with bad outcomes, Dr. McMahon was able to diagnose me correctly and put me on the right path for treatments. Highly recommend.

First impression, the receptionist was very vocal to her colleagues about it being so busy and she seemed very frazzled. Not a very welcoming introduction. Dr McMahon comes in and asks a few simple questions. The nurse comes in to prep me for the testing. I get the test done, the whole time I was curious about what I was getting tested for. It wasnt explained ahead of time. Dr McMahon comes in and he briefly goes over what I could be allergic to. The whole time Dr McMahon seemed very checked out. He wasnt very informative about my allergies. The nurse offered to give me some allergy medicine but I waited and that never happened. They have a sign posted saying to wait for 30 minutes after your visit. After waiting in the lobby for my allergy medicine for 10 minutes I asked if needed to stay and the receptionist said Im ok to leave.

My son has been suffering from asthma and allergies is whole life, and we started going to this clinic a couple months ago. We like the doctor and staff, just wish that they would explain things a little better.
