I dont normally leave one-starred reviews but this situation called for it. It was extremely disappointing to learn that the person I spoke with at the front office had conferred with Dr. Jennifer Gobel, owner of Mendakota Pediatrics and after which, told me that the doctor refuses to provide American Sign Language interpreters for deaf patients (my daughter, my husband and I are all deaf), a violation of the American with Disabilities Act. Furthermore, I was told to instead, take my children to the hospital either in St. Paul or Minneapolis. Its sad this denial of services based on communication access still happens in this day and age, and even more sad that a group of what appears to be a very intelligent group of doctors, are allegedly more interested in preserving their bottom line over the welfare of their patients.

We have been coming to Mendakota Peds since our first son was born 3 years ago. We are always impressed and feel so cared about when we need to visit from reception. Nurses and doctors. We never have felt rushed and feel our questions are answered thoroughly. If we have had to call after hours, we always get a call back quickly from one of the doctors. Being a parent of young children who get sick frequently. We appreciate a staff that is understanding, informative and comfortable for our children to be around. We have recommend to all family and friends.

Ive had two kids here since birth and love the family atmosphere. Well see any of the 3 doctors depending on what were in for and Im comfortable with all 3 and feel they are familiar with our family. The front desk staff is so warm and welcoming too! The only reason for the 4 stars is simply technology. I wish they had an online portal or easier access to medical records for school, sports, etc. Ive had to stop in and pick them up when Im in a pinch, but they do always offer to mail them too if you can wait.

I have taken my children, ages 2 ½ and 10 months, since they were both born to Mendakota Pediatrics and I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Paul! Our family absolutely loves Dr. Paul and the very thorough job he does when we see him. He takes the time to listen to us and is very good with my young children. I feel very confident in the course of action Dr. Paul gives us each time we see him. If you are looking for a wonderful pediatrician for your children, Dr. Paul is it!

Dr. Gobel, Dr. West, and Dr. Paul are the best! Incredibly patient, caring, and knowledgeable. We always feel the appropriate time and attention is given to our kids. All of the nurses and staff are so friendly and wonderful with kids. We couldnt say enough wonderful things about everyone at Mendakota Peds, and highly recommend them to everyone we know!

The doctors are very friendly and helpful, and they are located in a very convenient location. They also offer access to the staff outside of office hours. Weve had to use this feature on several occasions, and were always greeted with a solution. We feel fortunate to have such a highly qualified group of doctors in our neighborhood.

I have been bringing both of my children here for 14 years and would not take them anywhere else. The doctors listen to what the parent has to say. They are all kind and gentle but assertive when needed. Both my children have ADHD. I would have recommended them to anyone and everyone I know.
