We took our dog to this place for grooming. Made the appointment one week in advance at 8:30 am. He was dropped off at 8:145 and at that time, the groomer was still not there. The groomer called one hour later to verify what we wanted done. Then they called back 2 hours later to tell us the dog was not being cooperative and they wanted to sedate him. We said NO WAY. We have taken him there in the past with no problems. We decided to go up there to find out what was going on. They have shaved one strip down the middle of his back and then nothing more. They said that other dogs were being dropped off and needed to be done. We did have an appointment which should of came first. I cant imagine EVER putting an animal in these peoples hands every. They were rude and very unprofessional. I wouldnt take an animal to this place if it was the last place on earth. We took our dog to another groomer who said it wasnt the first time they had heard negative stories such as this. Dont bother calling. Find another groomer.

We brought our puppy to Murphy to board her last weekend. When we picked her up on Monday, she had a broken foot. We spent a few hundred dollars at our vet since the staff at Murphy said they wouldn’t take care of any exam fees on Tuesday since the “boss” wasn’t in the office to make the financial decision. Now Murphy decided to go cheap and will not reimburse us for the vet bill to exam, x-ray, and put a splint on our dog’s broken foot. What a stand up thing to do. The owner of the place mentioned that we signed a form for boarding stating that they aren’t responsible. This of course doesn’t hold water in court because the patron is paying for a specific service while boarding a dog, keeping them safe. Returning a dog with a broken foot is definitely a problem. The vet even watched our dog limp out of the place Monday night with a swollen foot. The owner said that we would need to pursue the few hundred dollars through legal means. My pleasure.

I have taken my animals there for years! I had very high expectations for this place until a few weeks ago... I had found a litter of kittens and brought them in to just check their age because I had to clue I did not want to get them vet checked because I could not afford it. They tell me that I had to pay a kitten fee for each kitten. So basically I was furious I asked them that if I had to pay over $100 for 2 minutes of there time (because all they had to do was weigh them) I was going to go and find another vet for my animals. They evenchaly called me back and said they could do it but for them to flat out tell me no in the fist place was kinda rude I mean I found these animals and are trying to care for them and just came to you for a piece of advice and you just want money thats sad very sad.... still taking my dogs there till this day just very disappointed in there decisions.

I drive past countless Veterinary offices to take my dogs to Murphy Animal Hospital. I have 2 high energy competition sport dogs and will only trust their care at Murphy. They are competitive with their pricing and always do whats best for the animals. Have had a knee surgery for one dog with their orthopedic surgeon. He is back to as good as new and still competing at a high level thanks to their great rehab plan, follow up care and state of the art facility with laser therapy and hydrotherapy tank. Dr. Flegle is compassionate about every animal brought into their care. Their staff and Dr.s are knowledgeable, caring, and thorough on any given situation. I came for the price and stayed because of their hospitality, expertise and the fact they seem to take a vested interest in my pet. Jeff is pretty cool too!

Dr. Shannon seems to really love all animals. She also seems to have an answer to any question we have regarding our dog. We have taken our Weimaraner in for vet services and doggie day care for 4 years. Our dog has received excellent care, including her spay surgery, injuries, and illnesses through the clinic. We adopted another dog last year who now attends day care with Freddie and has received medical care as well. I trust Murphy with the care of both of our dogs every day, Mon through Fri. The daycare and clinic staff are very friendly and are always willing to answer any questions we may have. We wont take our girls anywhere else!

Not sure when the current team took over, but the older reviews may be in regards to the previous owners. Every staff member there has been nothing but kind and helpful, this is a great find in High Ridge. We have boarded our dogs here, groomed them here, had our previous dog put down here (sad), and had all kinds of vet work done. We always felt like our dogs have always received great care. Prices seem fair compared to other vets/groomers in the area, as does boarding and doggy daycare. Would definitely recommend, the waiting room can get a bit crowded though, so sometimes you may get a friendly jumper/licker or two while youre waiting.

I recently took my cat there to be neutered and I expected to be greeted warmly and have polite, informative veterinarians, but that is not what I got at all. The vet did not introduce her name and did not learned it til after I picked up my cat and they gave me his pain medications - so I found out my the sticker printed on the prescription. And the guy at the front desk did not seem terribly knowledgeable to me either. Aside from that, she also talked to me as though she knew everything there was to know about animals and I knew absolutely nothing. Chances are, I am not taking my cat there again, even if they are cheaper than other places.

From the moment I walked into the door I was greeted by extremely friendly staff. The facility is very clean and well kept. The staff is also very professional. Multiple staff were able to answer various questions without hesitation. This makes you feel very comfortable leaving your pet with them. Once my mastiff is better I will begin taking him to their doggy day care for playtime while I work. NOTE: The bad reviews from years ago were from the old owners. The new owners are the complete opposite of the reviews posted. Please keep that in mind when deciding where to take your loved one.

Murphy Animal Hospital will do what they can, and with such professionalism, to make sure that your pet is taken care of! We have been using Murphy Animal Hospitals services for about two years and I could not be happier. Dr. Flegle is very aware of treatments for dogs that may just be medication for the first consideration. She knew how to support our dog Faith by simply changing a routine with her food. The staff are so supportive and very sincere. We are so happy to go at least once a week for dog daycare and I have no doubt that our dog is too. Highly recommended!!!
