I love the doctors, nurses and front desk. I love this place and the friendly helpful people who work there. I have gone here for a few years and loved every visit. I have never had any problems with this office, until I needed a referral. My instructions were to wait for someone to call me with the referral information. A week later I call the office. The front desk people say there is nothing in my file and transfer me to leave a message with the referral woman. Another week passes, with no contact. this time I call and leave a message with the front desk, to make sure it gets to the referral person (since they obviously didnt get my message). I call a couple of days later to leave another message with the referral woman, with no response. The front office calls me about paperwork 24 days after never receiving a response from the referral woman. At this point Im livid and magically I actually get to speak to the referral woman (probably only because I was mad). She then decided to treat me with condescension telling me "Well, we NORMALLY refer people to Doc----", she was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. Well how in the world would I know who you normally refer people to, if u never called and referred me. I didnt actually say that, because my mother taught me to speak to people with more respect. The only reason they dont get a 5 star is because of this woman. She had 24 days to do her job & I wouldnt have been livid. I had to fight to get her to do her job and then she had the nerve to be rude to me about it.

After reading reviews for days I decided to make my primary care provider Northland Family Care because of the positive Doctor reviews. I show up for an issue with chest pain, fill out all the paper work but cannot find my insurance card. I called another Dr to have them fax a copy over thinking I still had 5 minutes before my appointment but was then stopped and told it was to late to get the card and I needed to either leave or reschedule. I about broke out in tears explaining I was seeing someone for chest pain (something serious) and had great difficultly getting off work and another doctor was faxing the card at that moment. The response I got was shocking as I was told again it was to late and sorry come back another time. I guess it might be a good thing now to find out the doctors may be awesome but at least a few of the staff left their heart somewhere else.

Northland family Care takes care of my entire family, myself, my husband, my adult children, my grandchildren, and my sisters and brother. We could not ask for better care from Dr. Nelson. My husband has numerous medical issues and Dr. Nelson is always kind and gentle, but makes sure he gets the care he needs. One of the important aspects is that the practice still make hospital visits. It is always comforting to know when there is hospitalization we will have Dr. Nelson to oversee the care that he knows we need because he knows our medical history over time and our physical and personal needs. The patient portal has made it so easy to send Dr. Nelson information, request Rx refills, and make appointments. Keep up the good work. I almost forgot we could not survive without Marcie. :)

Amazing family Practice!!! My husband and I have been seeing Dr Steven Nelson and his wonderful nurse Marcy for more than 10 years. When my mother came to live with us she also started seeing Dr Nelson. She is in her Eighties and he has been wonderful with her! She is crazy about dr Nelson! Our son has been going to Dr Nelson since he was a month old. Dr Nelson is Fabulous with children and we look forward to having the same doctor for him as he grows up! From the momentyou walk in the door, there are Wonderful staff there to help you with anyand all of your needs. I would recommend this practice to everyone!!!! They are a amazing group of professionals with sincerely wonderful caring personalities!!! Love them and TRUST them with my entire family!!!!

Ive been with this practice about 20 years now....couldnt ask for better. Just for one example, Dr. Steve Nelson and his nurse Marcy are awesome to say the least. The nurse line is excellent too, they always return your calls as soon as possible and making an appointment is as easy as just picking up the phone and telling the person on the other end that you want to come in....and if you want it they will usually get you in that day, if the Doctors are full with appointments, the nurse practitioners are usually available, and I find them to be very knowledgable also. A person couldnt ask for a practice better than this.......great people and just as good care.

I have been going to this office for 2-1/2 years. After moving here from Arizona, I had to find a new doctor and was referred here. I was going to Dr. Dirks and I loved him. When he left, he told me to see Nicole Ragland. She is a NP and has been fabulous to me. I have several medical conditions that require constant monitoring. I have received the best service from this practice and would recommend them to anyone looking for a family care doctors office. All of the doctors and nurses are knowledgeable and welcoming. They also take the time to listen to their patients. That is important.

I relocated from the Northeast US to the Kansas City area in 2004. My family had the same doctors for many years before relocating. After "trying out" a few physician offices, we were delighted when we found Northland Family Care. The quality of the physicians, nurses and administrative staff are outstanding! They truly take a personal interest and do not rush you through the process. I had spent eight years on a community hospitals administrative staff in the past and have an appreciation for good patient care. I highly recommend Northland Family Care to trust with your healthcare needs.

Dr. Steve Nelson and his nurse Marcie have taken excellent care of my family for many years. My parents are elderly and have quite a few health issues so they make many visits to his office. Dr. Nelson is always friendly and takes time to listen and accurately diagnose their problems. When they have been hospitalized, Dr. Nelson is the physician who makes the hospital visits and manages their care, which is very comforting. I would highly recommend Northland Family Care. The doctors, nurses and staff are very caring and have their patients best interests at heart.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nelsons for 10+ years. First as a young newlywed, and now as a mother of 5 boys. He and his nurse Marcy are top notch! He cares for our entire family and I refer everyone I know to him. When it comes to my kids, he always says, "If it was my kid, this is what I would do..." I trust him completely. He was the first to identify a problem in my leg that turned out to be non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Ill never forget what he said. "I really doubt its something serious, but its my job to make sure." My family could not be in better hands.
