Dr. McDonald should not be allowed to practice medicine. He met my mother for the first time on Wednesday, spent 5 minutes talking to her, then proceeded to tell her that she was crazy and that she needed to go to a mental health clinic. She asked him how he could help her wean off of Paxil, as it causes bad side effects, and he told her that she could not wean off of it, that she will have to stay on it the rest of her life. He then abruptly left the room and did not return. His PA was also in the room during this; it was apparent that she was also shocked by the way he spoke to my mother and treated her. I will be filing a complaint with the Ethics Committee today.

Dr. McDonald has been extremely helpful and professional with dealing with my mother. He has both a courteous and respectful bedside manner as well as reassuring practice experience to bring to bear. I would recommend him highly especially in the area I have seen him practice which is geriatrics.
