Edit: This offices response and trying to frame me as the villan is another example of their lack of professionalism. Every poor review posted here is responded to by ownership placing fault on the patient, not the practice. If numerous people have had a bad enough experience with your practice and felt the need to place a review then that may be a sign to to improve upon your customer service. The problem is not with the patient but with the practice. I just completed my first visit with this practice and this was easily my worst experience in any medical office. The dentist has never been an enjoyable experience for me, but this was a new low. From the start I was seen 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time without explanation as to why. I understand Doctors offices can run behind schedule, but communicating that with the patient would go a long way. Upon being called back by the hygienist and initial exam, she said on more than one occasion that, "I may not be their problem." This is one of the most unprofessional things I have heard from a medical practice. Yes, you may not be able to resolve my issue, but you do not tell a patient they are not your problem. This was said to me more than once. Upon completion of the exam and discussing the options doctor and trying to ask more questions for clarity as to my next steps and where to go from here, he says, "I dont care what you do, you can extract the tooth. I really dont care." This is not only one of the most unprofessional comments Ive heard, but the most unprofessional comments I have heard from a doctor. Needless to say, I was very, very frustrated with my experience and time spent in this office. I would rather pay completely out of pocket for services in another office than return here just because they are in my network of coverage.

I have been with this Family Practice for just over a year and I cannot say enough good things about them. I have an extensive dental history and Dr. Shabany listened attentively to all my worries and concerns before ever starting any work....he does not impose his expertise on anyone, he shares his knowledge and gives you choices, which ultimately makes the patient feel more a part of their care. He also takes great consideration in the social aspect of your care which I really respect. The staff is wonderful, we are chummy....but hey, when you are putting your mouth in other peoples hands, you want to know theyve got your back, right? They make you laugh even when you dont want to, but thats a good thing...and makes your overall experience MUCH more pleasant. They are efficient and knowledge, gentle and caring. A++ for this dentist and his practice, I hope he has many many years of success!!!

I had not been to a dentist in over 10 years due to my complete fear of dental work. I started to have a few issues and decided to go. I asked for a recommendation from a friend and they told me about Dorsett Village. I decided to schedule an appointment. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and staff. My cleaning took longer than I expected but thats what I get for going 10 years between cleaning. I have since been going every 6 months for regular cleanings. I have had 2 fillings and they when much better than expected, the Dr. was patient with me and my comfort level and we got it done and out the door. If you have any reservations about going to a dentist, rest assure the staff is patient orientated.

Not sure why there are some of the bad reviews on here. All of the staff have been completely welcoming and kind to me everytime I have been there. 2 major cleanings and a Root Canal so far. Going back to get a crown also. Dr. Shabany explains everything in non-dental speak so I could understand what was going on every step of the way. I was scared to death to have my root canal as I have always had a fear of Dentists and people working on my mouth, but all the staff including the Dr made me feel at ease. If I felt any pain what-so-ever, I just raised my hand and they would numb it up some more, honestly no pain during the actual root canal at all, just pressure. Would recommend to anyone.

If you like a rude doctor that makes the staff appear nervous n he talks down to you , also recommends work you do not need, this is your place. Also makes you do all the footwork for insurance claims. Got a second opinion on my son n myself that Dr Shabany diagnosed & I felt something wasnt right & glad I did so. The only nice part are the girls assistanting . No matter what comeback they have n I expect it only for the mere fact this place holds tension n very unprofessional. I wouldnt even give 1 ⭐, but only way to write review. I wouldnt recommend this dentist office.

Do I like going to Dorsett Village Dental Care? Absolutely! I moved away from Missouri years ago and have been to 2 different cities since leaving. Have I found a different dentist? No way! I make sure that I travel back home and when I do, I make an appointment to go to this office. I know that I will be taken care of right when I walk in the door. This office knows how to calm you if you are nervous and are always through to explain everything that they are going to do head of time. This is HUGE to patients. I trust them completely! Why would I want to find anyone else?

Dr. Shabany is the most professional and thorough dentist I have ever had do work on my teeth. He is very intelligent and has many years of dental experience, and his expertise and friendly personality are apparent as soon as you enter the office. His entire staff is willing to help and make you feel very comfortable the entire time you are there, and even go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied during and after the visit. Overall, by far the best dentist I have ever been to, offering great prices, a terrific atmosphere, and very diligent and thorough work.

Ive been going to here for a couple years now and never had any problems. The staff is friendly and the wait is short when you have an appointment. As long as you have insurance, the cost is bearable. The teeth cleanings are thorough and fillings dont take too long and they give you a choice on what type of filling. I had a tooth extracted and a couple fillings and they were nearly painless and staff very professional. I would recommend this dentist too anyone living in the area.

The entire staff at Dorsett Village Dental Care is amazing! Their warm and welcoming manner can put even most nervous patient at ease. They all take the time to listen to your problems or concerns and actually get to know you as a person. They truly care about their patients. Ive been going to Dr. Shabany for years. Even after moving 35 minutes away, I still continue to make the drive because I would never consider seeing anyone else for my dental care.
