I only give this place 1 star because of the few hygienist Ive had that were friendly and had a great bedside manner. The last experience I had confirmed that I will never return to this place again. I went in for a routine filling and had to be numbed multiple times because the dentist was unable to get it right the first time. The second time she administered the local anesthetic it ended up numbing the entire left side of my face including my eyes resulting in me being unable to blink my left eye. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I informed the hygienist and dentist before they started doing work on me that I couldnt blink my left eye. The dentist commented that sometimes that happens and proceeded to prep my mouth to complete the filling. Knowing I couldnt blink, and with getting a filling I wouldve thought they would have offered some comfort measures to ensure I wasnt miserable while getting the filling. No, that wasnt the case. SO I had to request protective goggles/glasses before they got started knowing they would be drilling, spraying water and air into my mouth that would get into my eyes. They gave me the glasses and proceeded to work on my mouth. The experience was miserable. I couldnt blink my eye, I could feel air drying my eyeball out and asked if I could get a piece of tape to close my eye and can you believe they both laughed at me. I was infuriated. I literally felt like I was being tortured. Never asked if I as okay. Nothing. My eye, still wide open, started watering and I had to reach over and manually close my eyes with my hands to help lubricated and stop the irritation from the air hitting my eye directly. Still, they did not stop and ask how I was doing. Instead the dentist and hygienist talked amongst themselves, took breaks to watch the TV that was in the room, and treated me as if I wasnt even there. I felt like a fake dummy doll laying in the chair. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a medical professional. NEVER. No consideration to how I was feeling or ensuring my comfort. I wanted to get up from the chair so bad and leave without them finishing the procedure due to how uncomfortable I was and not being able to blink my eye. I will take my money elsewhere and find a new dentist. This place is a joke.

Silly me, I had mistakenly thought that dentists were MEDICAL professionals. Be prepared to be pressured into services you probably dont need and are not in your best interest. They seem to only be concerned with how much money they will make off of you. On my first visit, they said I needed Arestin treatment for gum disease, which was not covered by my insurance. I had previously had my teeth cleaned three months prior with no mention of serious issues. They had frightened me into getting the treatment to the tune of almost $1,000.00 out of pocket. I should have researched it prior to allowing them to do the treatment but I was there and decided to go ahead with it. After the treatment, I had an abscessed tooth. I had to go back and have that taken care of for an additional $200.00 out of pocket. I researched Arestin and found that it should only be administered with a deep cleaning. If they inject Arestin without a deep cleaning it can start to heal the surface leaving the bacteria underneath and CAUSE an abscess! When I spoke to them about that they said they did a deep cleaning. What a LIE! I have had a root scaling before and can tell you I KNOW that they did NOT perform a deep cleaning prior to the Arestin treatment. I felt they were dishonest and overly greedy. After all of this, they continually texted my phone with advertisements for dental services like specials on teeth whitening. I called five times to ask them to stop texting my phone with advertisements. The mere fact they market themselves like this should tell you what type of place it is. They miscalculated my out of pocket expense (I have really good insurance) and overcharged me about $300. It took longer than two months to receive my refund. I know this is a really long review. I wrote all of this to try and save someone else from being duped and scammed. I wouldnt want anyone else to go through what I have with this dental practice. Dont trust them and hang onto your wallet!

I decided to try Streets of St Charles Dental because they sent me a shiny postcard in the mail, offering cheap teeth whitening gel for new customers. When I was getting my yearly cleaning, I was told that my gums were at major risk for periodontal disease. When I asked for more details, they scared me into thinking that at age 26, my teeth were going to fall out because my gums were receeding. They sold me on a "treatment" plan, and assured me that it would be covered by my insurance with the exception of a $375 fee. NOT TRUE. Within 2 weeks, I was recieving $800 bills from their office. They also told me that I would need about $2000 in dental work. I called several times to talk about my bill, that they continued to send with "30 days, 60 days, 90 days past due" notices, even though they assured me that they were working with my insurance company to get them to pay it, and to "ignore the bill" even though they continued to send them. Finally, after SEVERAL frantic calls to their office to try and clear this up, the finance girl told me that my insurance would not pay it because they didnt think I needed it, and asked me what I would be willing to pay them for the $800 I owed. I did speak with Dr. Mary (she was not the original dentist who saw me) and she told me she would wipe the bill off. I appreciated that, but it still hated the stress and $375 I wasted. I was initially impressed by the swanky office, and the fact that I could watch tv while they worked on my teeth, but now I know theyre working hard to pay off that office space by robbing people of their money! Sad that you cant trust your dentist office anymore!

Dr. Mary is great. I love her, my husband loves her, my kids love her! I will miss her. My kids will miss her. The reason I only give it a 2 star rating has to do with the business practices. Routinely, unnecessary procedures were recommended and performed -- and then charged for (of course) outside of insurance providers, after Streets of St. Charles assured us they were normal, covered treatments. After this happened twice, we started confirming the frequency of industry recommendations as well as getting a second opinion before committing to any work at Streets of St. Charles, only to find that almost 50% additional upcharges and work were added to our treatments. PLEASE get a second opinion on work they recommend here. One charge alone, for work done on my husband, above and beyond our insurance coverage (we were told multiple times that it was covered before we agreed to the work) was $500 and rather than call me to clear it up, Streets immediately sent the bill to a collection agency under my name even though the work wasnt even done on me (I was told they changed the name on the account bc my husband didnt have voicemail set up). As soon as I was aware of the bill, it was paid in full... Which Streets acknowledges yet they will not report it as paid (they say its the fault of the collection agency, while the collection agency says the reverse) so now I have a lovely unpaid collection on my credit report... For work they promised was covered by insurance... On a person who wasnt me. Caveat Emptor.
