So, Id like to start by saying that before going to see Dr. Wenzel and his staff at Webster Groves Dental, paralyzing anxiety was pretty much my reaction to any discussion on the subject of a visit to the dentists office. It had been a considerable amount of time between visits for me, and the whole team really made every effort to keep me calm, informed, and comfortable with every part of my procedure. From Betty at the front desk helping me to feel positive and optimistic about the decision to come in, to Kristen making sure that I was always aware of exactly what it was she was doing, and making sure that I was continuing to feel at ease during the cleaning. Dr. Wenzel himself was a perfect example of what you want to have in your dentist. Especially when you are someone who until now, was petrified of even talking about sitting in that chair, not to mention actually being in the chair. He took the time to explain the "big picture" of everything that we were looking at in terms that I could understand, at all times giving me the choice of what we were going to proceed with. During the actual procedure, he made a point to talk me through everything that was happening ahead of time, and allowed me time to actually process the information, which really helped to keep me extremely calm throughout the visit. All in all, this has been a Godsend to me. I not only came back two days later, but also scheduled an additional visit within the following three weeks to have even more work done. Coming from someone who spent years avoiding the dentist for fear of pain and apathetic personnel, I can honestly say that there will never be another year that I dont see my new dentist and his team at least twice!!! Thank you so much for being a part of this journey to better health!

I recently had a crown come loose, and of course, it was outside of normal business hours. I called the after hours emergency number of Dr. Wenzels office, and was greeted by Betty, Dr. Wenzels office manager. Betty immediately called the Doc and within an hour and a half I was in the chair being attended to. Dr. Wenzel took his time, did a great job, explained the procedure, and got my crown back in place without even the slightest discomfort. My wife and I recently relocated to the area with our young children, and Dr. Wenzel and his staff have treated us like old friends since we arrived. I Just cant say enough about the kindness and professionalism of all the people in this practice.

Ive been coming to Dr. Wenzel since 2011. His staff is friendly and professional. When I have questions, Dr. Wenzel takes time to answer my questions in a relatable fashion. He clearly cares about his patients! I’ve taken my children to Webster Groves Dental since 2016. Dr. Wenzel is absolutely great with them. In addition to being patient with them, he remembers my kids’ favorite sports teams or what they are working on in school and asks them about it at appointments. I highly recommend Webster Groves Dental!

Dr. Matt is very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He goes over what you need and then gives his opinion as to whats really important and what can wait. He also doesnt charge for a bunch of unnecessary things. He also explains why in his opinion the work he says needs done needs done. In highly recommend Dr. Matt to anyone!

Highly recommend Dr. Matthew Wenzel! Honest assessment on what is necessary dental work and what isnt. Before seeing Dr. Wenzel, I visited another dentist who wanted to do two crowns (tune of $1,200.) Dr. Wenzel said it was not necessary at that point and saved me from spending a small fortune.
