My first (and only) visit. Dr. Kilgore was nice, but they billed to my MEDICAL insurance instead of vision which meant that my deductible kicked in. An eye exam is $45.00. They charged $181.00 + $25.00 = for $206.00 for eye exam because I have Dry Eye Syndrome. Dr. Kilgore did absolutely NO extra tests for this; I told her I had been diagnosed several years ago and use Restasis. Since she renewed my prescription for Restasis, she charged this amount. I think this is a total scam to use my insurance this way and when I complained, they said I had signed for them to use my medical insurance if necessary, which I did, not believing for one minute that would be necessary. I have been using Restasis for 10+ years and have NEVER been billed other than on my VISION insurance. Neither the office staff, nor Kate at the corporate billing, which is owned by Crown Vision, was at all helpful or willing to do anything. IF YOU GO HERE, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SIGN FOR THEM TO FILE ON YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE! I filed complaints with my insurance carrier, BBB and Missouri Optometry Board.

Dr. Kilgore was a fantastic Doctor but that is where the service ends. I went because of a medical issue so my insurance would handle the claim. I have two insurances and informed the receptionist of this who still insisted that I pay the deductible and that after the second insurance pays they will refund me my deductible. Well that didnt happen - ten calls later and visiting the facility they still have not refunded my deductible even though my secondary has claimed I do not owe the money!! The secondary shows that Wentzville Eye Center did not send the information on time and when they did send the claim did not send all the information needed. I have never had trouble with my secondary insurance before so this makes it a little hard to claim that Wentzville Eye Center did everything correctly and it is the secondary insurances fault.

I have been going to them for 2 1/2 years now. Everyone is very friendly. If we have to wait for any length of time, they are very apologetic and thank me for waiting. They are very informative about what my insurance will cover and/or not cover. They are very thorough and patient with me and my children. They do not over sell their products. They advise you what contact/glasses are needed and then talk you through your decision. They have evening hours which is wonderful for any working parent with children. My second time there, and the staff helped me achieve the cheapest option between insurance and their specials at the time. My most recwnt visit I wanted to update my glasses as well as getting a supply of contacts..the tech helped me shop for/find a pair of glasses n my price rsnge like we had known eachother forever-gave me opinions on which she thought looked better and told me if I looked horrible or good in each pair I tried on...shopping for glasses is hard by yourself! I would definately recommend making yourself an appointment!

Wentzville Eye Center has been meeting my expectations since i began going there 4 years ago. I requested to have an appointment made on very short notice and I was able to get in within a matter of days, which was much quicker than i expected. The Drs are always very helpful and gladly offer advice when it comes to picking out the best fitting glasses. Overall we had a good experience. The exam went quickly and the staff was attentive on the day of the exam. Also, our glasses arrived quickly, which was nice. Unfortunately, when we arrived Monday morning to pick them up and be fitted, the store was late to open. I had to stand waiting outside with two small children (one of whom was late for school) for over 15 minutes. When the employee finally responded to our knocking she was completely unappolgetic about having made us wait.

Great Experience and staff is very knowledgable. Needed a new eye doctor closer to home. Found Wentzville Eye Center online and signed up for an appointment online (very easy). Check in was very easy and staff explained everything. Exam was fast and easy. Dr. Kilgore was very thorough and making sure the contacts were the right ones for me. Very happy with my decision to go to Wentzville Eye Center.

They kept trying to get me to buy some pricey glasses using their plan as opposed to my insurance. Insurance was cheaper, but they were telling me I only had money for contacts or glasses-not both (I checked with insurance and I have money for each) so they lost me after that. Went back in to get a receipt later since I paid for contacts over the phone and it took 10 minutes for someone to help me.

I love that they not only did my daughters glasses in record time along with mine. But, they helped me get use to my first pair of no line bifocals. And, the only reason I even tried them was they were able to get my hubby to wear his and he hates wearing his glasses. Now, he wears them every day. Thank You so very much for helping my whole family see clearly again!

Great staff who genuinely seem to have your best interests at heart. If I have to say anything negative, I do not recommend leaving a voicemail or sending an email if you need to make an appointment though. There is a lack of response, if any response at all. Great Eye Care Center. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Dr Abby is great and explains everything to you. She also allows you to try different options to see what works best for you. I had to try several types of contacts before finding the right ones and they were very helpful and patient.

They let me know ahead of time what insurance would cover and not cover so there were no surprizes. The Dr was very informitive and everyone was very helpful. They told me about rebates on contacts so I could make the wisest decision finanially and saved me $55.
