WATCH OUT, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! I made the mistake in choosing this place. They have an online special for new patients only, wherein they offer a free teeth whitening with paid exam and x-ray so I made the appointment on Feb. 2, 2011. On or about Feb. 8, a woman called me to verify the appt. which was set for March 8. I asked this woman if the free teeth whitening was included, she confirmed this because I was a new patient. On Feb 23, another woman sent me an e-mail to set the appt. (???). On March 8, and after filling out the endless paperwork, the Mexican woman in the front desk asked for my debit card (I paid cash) and I noticed that my last name was spelled wrong. I brought this to her attention and she got upset, she didnt bother to correct it either and insisted that I sign the receipt. Having worked in the legal field for many years, I told her that technically that was another person, but she insisted in my signing $95.00 (first clue: no attention to details). Even though I had explained on the papework the reason I was there, she asked me again (second clue: she didnt bother to read it or she forgot). I asked her about the teeth whitening and she said that that service was not included. I related to her the above, but she did not honor the ad. I was finally called in by another Mexican woman who can barely speak English. She took an x-ray and a dentist, showed up. I dont know where this man studied dentistry, but I noticed that he was staring at the x-ray and didnt strike me as someone knowledgeable. I told him that I felt I had a cavity, he kept staring at the x-ray and finally said: "I think" you have a loose tooth. I asked him how did he know that, so he decided to actually check the tooth in question. My tooth is not loose, never was. Then he tried to push a root canal, I told him I dont do root canals, the Mexican woman thought I was there for her mirth and she let out a snicker, so the dentist changed it for a crown. Then he asked me if I have dental insurance, I told him no, that I pay cash. I asked him point blank: do I have a cavity or not? He replied: Yes. I said: then, lets do a filling. He said that I would need a big filling and it could hurt" and tried to push the root canal or crown once again. I told him I wanted a filling. With this he left to order the treatment plan. For one filling they want $210.00, plus the $95.00 they already charged me, plus, they didnt honor the free teeth whitening, I think NOT! I decided that this is not the place for me. I have now seen a real, and honorable dentist.

horrible i called today because i had a root canal done a month ago by a bad dentist and i began to exp. horrible pains last night they told me if i could make it in at 1230 its the only time i could bee seen i had 30 mins to drive across town i got there 5 mins before 1230 did my paperwork then waited ..... and waited....... and waited some more the room became extremly filled with pts . the whole time while waiting you could over hear "mother goose" old white lady with glasses and the younger d.a talking about "cant wait to get off so they can go get drunk at margaritaville" abd seemingly making jokes back and fourth , about an hr into my wait a "large" hispanic lady walked in like she owned the place with her child told "mother goose" she needed to wright a letter for prescriptions. the old lady up front let her and her child back and gave them access to an office area that had pt charts ect, her child was freely right behind the front desk just wonderiing around when the lady was done she asked how long till i can bee seen like she had specials privlegages over all of us waiting hours in pain . she was a friend of "mother goose" you could clearly see that and when a d.a. from the back came to get the next chart that was in order . "mother goose" got upset and said NO NO THIS ONE GOES FIRST IDC I WILL BRING YOU THE CHART TAKE HER BACK . skipping everyone in the room . the younger front desk lady seemed alot nicer and into her job but the old lady was sarcastic and rude and when i approached the counter she said what do you need meds?? like im a drug seeker . . . i have a medecine cabinet full of pain pills at home i want my tooth extracted you IDIOT! this place seems to be a scam they get you in for there so called specials then tell you they cant do your procedures there and refer you to there specialist and you go round in round spending money . go to a regular dentist not a corporate one . STEER CLEAR FROM HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING TREATED LIKE CRAP AND WAITING HOURS . there should be a very poor button on here ,

It`s my first review I have ever write, but this place is just so bad, that it`s worth to write about it. I have been to Absolute Dental at Maryland Pkwy twice and chooses this place only because of the location (+). Visit 1st: Although I set up an appointment, I was sitting in the dental chair TWO hours (-) waiting for the dentist. All this time doctor`s assistant was keeping me company and tries to meet up with me later (-) but also gave me information how to not get ripped off at this place (+). Finally, some Asian dentist came to see me and after looking at my x-rays brought me a plan with about 20 positions of what I should repair, of total price 5,000 (-), what was a bullshit, because I just had everything done in my country 2-3 months before. I am also very caring about my teeth and going to the dentist regularly. I got just my one teeth filled, the one that I came up with and decided to never go there again. Unfortunately after over a year I decided to give this place a chance. Visit 2: Again I just had all the teeth done in my country a month ago and looking perfect, just broke off a little bit of one on the hard candy. Doctor`s assistant that suppose to take care of me tried to push me to agree to do the root canal (!!) in this teeth that just needed some outside filling (!!) He also asked me 3 times where I am from and I had impression like he has some mental disorder and doesn`t understand/remember clear answer, it was totally strange (-). Since I got to sit in the dental chair I was waiting for the dentist 50 minutes to come (-), look at the x-ray and leave (-). The receptionist told me that they are closing and doctor doesn`t agree to stay longer to fill my teeth. But there would be time if dentist show up at the time of my appointment and wasn`t late (!!) Totally ridiculous. I had two horrible experiences with this place and don`t recommend it to anybody, if you have an option to go to the different one - DO IT.
