The First time I entered his office was late 2009 early 2010. I went to his office after having a couple of negative experiences involving different dental professionals in the area. So when I was referred to him by a friend who has been a his patient for over 20 years, I was both hopeful and apprehensive. Much to my relief my first experience was awesome and I have not received anything less than that since then. In the 4 +/- years I have gone to him, I have sent my husband, father-in-law, and my dearest friend in to see him and they all love him too. My first visit went something like this: I had an appointment within 10 days from when I called in my appointment I opened the door and was greeted by a genuinely friendly receptionist, (and it is beside the fact, but she Is gorgeous, Golden inside and out!) after filling my patient information paperwork I was moved into the small dental exam room without much of a wait (less then 7 minutes) where I was greeted by another dental assistant whom "preped" me (putting the bib around my neck and asking me questions and whatnot) for my visit with Dr. Palermo. Before she was done he was there, super quick! Hes the cutest! We chatted he looked, we took some x-rays, he went away, he came back, we chatted some more. he asked how much time I had for him that day, I was open, he filled a bothersome cavity right then and there, and I was outta there. It was not long before I could tell he truly loves his job, very sympathetic to the fact that tooth pain SUCKS! If I were to pin point the one thing that has me sold on his service; He HAS NOT YET REFERRED ME TO AN ORTHODONTIC SURGEON!!! I hate paying 2 separate doctors for the same initial exam more than anything!!!! but that just scratches the surface!!!! hes great, his office staff is awesome---GO TO HIM !!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Palermo since I moved to Reno in 1987. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Although Dr P recommended orthodontia to me for years, he never pushed me, and I finally did it when it was absolutely necessary. Under his care my teeth and gums have been very healthy. Once I went to another dentist via my health insurance and he was AWFUL (even his staff admitted it to me when I complained). But the one true thing he told me was to keep doing whatever I had been doing because my teeth and gums looked great--so I hurried back to Dr P.

Ive been going to Dr Palermo for years after leaving my childhood dentist. Hes the best! I dont believe the person on here with the two star review. Dr Palermo is not like that. Ive never been treated with nothing but the utmost professional manner from him and his staff. You cant please everyone obviously. But hes a 5 star dentist as far as Im concerned and other people feel the same!

NOT recommended. Was a patient for many years and finally left after several unpleasant experiences. My dental hygienist was always unfriendly and Dr. Palermo was constantly pushing me to spend money on procedures that were unnecessary. Go elsewhere for your dental needs.
