COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT FRONT END OFFICE STAFF!!!! CARES MORE ABOUT MAKING APPOINTMENTS FOR MONEY THAN ACTUALLY TAKING CARE OF ANIMALS!!!! In an attempt to have an established veterinary closer to my home, I called to make a 1st time appointment for my yorkie whom is limping. The receptionist schedules a same day appointment for 1:45pm. I arrive on time, check in at the front desk and I am told to have a seat and I will be fit in. 30 minutes later (with my dog barking the entire time) I approach the desk and another woman behind the counter asks if I’m checking in or leaving!!! I tell her that that I’ve been waiting 30 minutes and then they ask if I’ve filled out paper work….REALLY?!?!? I took the paper work, sat down, and realized that if the front end can’t even remember that they gave me the appointment for an animal that is in pain and is unable to check me in properly, how can I possibly entrust them with my dog’s health? The front end of any doctor or business is a reflection of the bigger service that will be provided. If my pet goes under anesthesia, will they remember he is there?! If I pay them in cash, will they remember to log it into their system correctly?? I could not comfortably answer “yes” to those questions. So after thinking it over for a minute, I returned to the desk, gave them back their clip board, and told that very thing- “If you couldn’t even handle a simple front desk check in, what kind of care was my pet going to receive? “ So at the end of the today, I have Barnegat Animal Clinic to thank for my pet being in pain for yet another day. When I called to make the appointment and mentioned that my yorkie might have a knee problem, the women was all too quick to “fit me in”. Foolishly I believed they had cared about the welfare of my pet. However it is clear now that their true intention was to acquire a large bill from me by feverishly attempting to ‘fit me in’ to an already overbooked schedule. Had the Barnegat Animal Clinic actually been concerned for the welfare of my pet and not been afraid to lose a potential expensive patient, they would have refused to make an appointment during my initial call and made it for a day they were able to efficiently run their office.

Barnegat Animal Clinic is a great vet. I have had multiple wonderful experiences there but to mention two: I had to bring my golden retriever there to be put down and they were completely compassionate. They even did it in the back of my SUV that way the dog wouldnt be terrified in a room he was unfamiliar with. They were very great to deal with in a hard time. Secondly, I found Dr Wurst Sr to be one of the kindest and passionate men I have ever met in his field. He had no problem coming in for an emergency session at night and even at night was one of the most kindest people I have ever met. He took his time to ask all my questions and you could genuinely see that he loved animals and loved his job. The Barnegat animal clinic will be the only place I will bring my dogs forever. They are a credit to the town.

I love this vet office. Started going there with my dog after years with another vet who was just bleeding me dry. They are fair, kind, generous. They made sure I was referred to the right specialist elsewhere when they reached their limits - they didnt lead me along. They have cared for both my cats now and my parents dog. They are not $$$ focused. They really care about your animals and you can tell. Great staff! Helpful and thorough. All the doctors are professional and knowledgeable. I drive from Jackson just to come here for my pets.

Dr.Dan is an exceptional vet. Makes follow up calls. Is compassionate and takes time to explain everything in detail ! Best Vet ever. My husband and I could never thank him enough for his dedication for caring for our dogs. He is truly amazing !!! Thank you Dr. Dan!!! The staff is wonderful! Carol is outstanding ! If you are a animal lover you can see every person at front desk and techs truly love what they do! The facility is immaculate! 10 stars if I could!

The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They truly care about their four legged patients and their parents. They always get me an appointment when my dog is having an issue, even when they are booked. I just moved to this area and am so happy I listened to friends on this recommendation. I highly recommend this vet. ALL the doctors we have seen have been professional, caring, and informative.

The Plush Bros

We received a hand written sympathy card only 2 weeks after we had to say goodbye to our family cat of 16 years. And this was our first visit here. We saw Dr. Wurst. He and his 2 nurses were very kind and sympathetic. Its refreshing and comforting to have a Veterinary Hospital treat you and your pet like you were family. Thank you.

From the front desk to the doctors, this veterinary clinic is phenomenal. We have been using them for 13 years. When a doctor can remember your pet that past away 7 years ago, and the staff walks around the desk to come pet your dog, you know these people care. I wouldnt trust my pets health and care to anyone else!

Everyone in this office is WONDERFUL !!! The front office girls are knowledgeable , friendly and courteous . All the Doctors are GREAT !! I have been going here for years and NEVER had a bad experience. I want to thank the staff for everything you have done in the years I have been coming here .

Dr. Andy Wurst is and has been the best Doctor for my dogs care! my first dogs care through her life and at the end of it was exceptional and the whole staff was very compassionate and helpful making her Final arrangements. My new dog will be a patient there as well.

I have been going to this clinic for the last two years, always had a good experience. My little Dog Franny had some recent stomach problems and they saw to her every need, they kept me informed for the few days they had her very attentive and kind excellent care.

I have an older cat and dog that have gone to the Barnegat Animal Clinic. The vets there have been very kind and great with the animals. Their prices seem very fair, the facility is clean and everyone is friendly. I will never consider going to another vet.

Everyone that works here from the Doctors to the staff are absolutely fantastic. They take the time to educate you on all issues and do not rush you through the visit like other busy vet offices. I highly recommend them.
