AVOID BRICK EASTERN DENTAL The front staff is alright depending on if theyre having a good day or bad. Wait time for an appointment is weeks to months / Liz the women who deals with the finances is a nasty women, was told my insurance wouldnt cover something, paid $800 out of pocket. After switching dentist a year goes by and I had to get the same $800 item and the new dentist said lets go through your insurance rather than you paying for it. I explained what I was told by Liz at Eastern Dental and they said she was wrong, my insurance did cover it and saved me $800. / As for the Drs theyre is two, a heavier set / bigger guy and a short, big nosed older jewish man. The short one is a nasty rude j**koff. If it were his comments, the way he practices or the hes better then anyone else especially because I was on state insurance at the time. Treated me like I was a POS. I had a few issues with him prior to leaving for another place. One that really sticks is I went in for a filling. He said the tooth is a little dead and a chance it will shatter when I start the procedure (MORE MONEY). Well, I never felt a dentist push so hard with the tool it did shatter, he laughs and says "look at this, told ya so!". He then says, well you have to talk to the finance dept to work out pay as you have state insurance which doesnt cover. Another time I had a fake tooth that was broken that needed to come out. After he got it out he mentioned how there is gold in it and I should take it to a pawn shop to recover some money. The assistant to him had pinned eyes which looked as if they were made of glass. She couldnt stop itching herself and sniffling as she was high as a kite. Do yourselves a favor and avoid the BRICK EASTERN DENTAL at all cost, its not worth it.

Called to make first appointment, told them I dont do x rays (do your own research on x rays, make an informed decision). Girl on the phone said no problem. Called me to confirm appointment, reminded them no x rays, girl laughed and said "no problem David just remind them again when you come in,". Went in, filled out paperwork, waited an hour and a half. Hygenist said it was time for my panoramic x ray. I told girl I wouldnt be doing those. Only do x rays when I have a problem/pain. She said its digital and harmless so I told her to stay in room with me while x rays went off. She said absolutely not. She ran and grabbed the dentist. Older miserable gentlemen came in the room and started lecturing me on how full exam works.... I told him I just needed a prophylaxis and have never had a cavity and just need a cleaning. Im in my mid twenties. Old angry dentist said x rays do not harm you since new equipment is digital. I then asked him if he could stay in room with me during x ray. He said absolutely not. I told him I could get a copy of an older x ray. He said he wouldnt touch me until he gets his scan. I asked him to just pretend I was pregnant, he said it doesnt matter. Told them x rays done during pregnancy increase leukemia rate 200% after just one scan... Told me that wasnt true and walked out of room. Ladies and gentlemen, your dentist is not God. Question your dentist. Theres plenty out there and eastern dental is the McDonalds of dentists. 90 minute wait only to find out the dentist doesnt understand radio biology and will try to scam you and your health to pay for the fancy gamma radiation x ray machine. Rude staff , very nice hygenist, idiot arrogant dentist. D- rating

The head dentist, Mitchell Rubenstein, who will be deciding what work will be done with your mouth, will never actually work on your mouth. This work is instead assigned to dentists under him. Appointments are few and far between, and each visit is so rushed that I could never get a detailed answer as to what is being done with my mouth. Nobody knows in detail what is going on except for Dr. Rubenstein. The one time I ever saw Rubenstein, he became visibly annoyed by any question asked. The staff is friendly for the most part, but the poor management and overall lack of integrity seeps into every aspect of this practice. This is a prime example of assembly-line dentistry, and a very poorly run assembly-line at that. You will be doing yourself a favor by choosing a different practice.

The Brick Eastern Dental awful! If you have children please do not bring them here. My son is 5 and a little nervous about the dentist office but their hygienist Susan was awful. Susan yelled at him for being scared and then when he started to cry she grabbed his face and told him, Stop crying! Youre 5 years old! She also asked him what his friends at school would think knowing he carried on like this. She also told me that when I bring my 3 1/2 year old for her first time I better not bring the two together if he carries on like this. She was having a bad day and unleashed on my 5 year old. Our entire family will now be switching our dental practice and I hope anyone with children will think twice before subjecting their child to this miserable woman.

Dont listen to the bad reviews, been coming here for years. These people are by far the nicest ,most knowledgeable , staff you could ask for. I have a terrible phobia of needles, upon getting novacaine shots for a cavity my phobia was gone. Dr. Schechterman has a light touch and I didnt even feel him working on my cavity. Do yourselves a favor and book an appointment at Eastern Dental. You wont regret it

Over an hour wait on first visit, then the receptionist asked "they didnt bring you back yet " ? Also throughout the day 2,3 people gave me bad feedback of them. They just lost a bucket full of money for my jacked up teeth, Lol hahaah. Just made an appt at Shore Family Dental. And will be added this and passing this experience along. An appointment is an appointment! ! Loss $$$ lol

Spent $1000 on a post and crown for front tooth. Within a few months of having it, the post snapped in half.
