Let me start by saying I normally wouldnt waste the time or effort to post a review of any kind, but I would be doing a disservice to those in pain if I didnt direct them towards Mr. Peter Askes. I first treated at FCPT several years ago whenI was suffering from both back and shoulder injuries, and in severe pain. I had no idea what to expect from PT in general, and found FCPT due to its close proximity. In short, it was my good fortune. From session one, Peter Askes filled me with confidence and put my mind at ease. The man has magic hands and a fantastic personality. His positive and realistic approach, attention to detail, comprehensive treatment plans and "homework" were instrumental in getting me functional again. Peter, Ed, Reshma (both PTs and also fantastic) and Arthur left a long lasting, overwhelmingly positive impression upon me. There were no negatives. In fact, I was so impressed by Peter Askes and staff that several years later, I recently returned post shoulder surgery to FCPT. In my time of severe pain, I could not fathom anyone working on my injury except Peter Askes and Ed. I literally never considered going anyplace else. Did I mention the top notch massages and great conversation? The man truly provides a fantastic environment that is conducive to healing. Peter sets realistic and achievable goals and knows how to steadily increase your gains/range of motion and help alleviate your pain. Peter does not believe in "torture" therapy - he knows just how far to take you. Arthur, Natalie and the support staff are stellar as usual. The facility as always is beautiful, private and spotless. Ed the night PT still provides great therapy and is a great conversationalist as well. All at FCPT are extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful. You have questions- they have answers. Ease and flexibility of scheduling appointments around your schedule is never a problem, and they truly aim to please here. I have benefitted by being in close proximity to FCPT, but I have to tell you that Peter Askes and company are worth traveling for. I continue to be impressed by Peter Askes and all at FCPT, and highly recommend.

After a total knee replacement surgery I knew the next step in recovery was selecting and working with the best physical therapist possible. I like you asked friends and relatives for recommendations and then went to the internet for personal reviews on the recommended practices. After reading all the positive reviews on First Choice Therapy I only hoped that my high expectations (gained from the reviews) can be met. Well, its seven weeks from surgery (six weeks working with Peter) and I must share that my expectations have been exceeded! Peter Askes, PT, Arthur, Phyllis and the other members of the First Choice Therapy staff are knowledgeable professionals in their fields, all with a patient first attitude. The private examination rooms, rehab tools and equipment that have been written about are all great however its the thoroughness of Peters approach to your rehab and his ability to fully explained every step in the rehabilitation process always working with you to achieve your recovery goals, Arthurs guidance and encouragement during your rehab time on the equipment and Phyliss accommodation of your schedule that should make this the FIRST CHOICE IN YOUR RECOVERY! Its been a tough recovery and you must commit to do your part in the any recovery process by following Peters at home therapy program. Through Peters therapy and guidance I was able to return to work in less than sixth week from surgery. Not bad for someone who required a walker the first three weeks after surgery. Thank you Peter, Arthur, Phylis and staff you have all been instrumental in my recovery to date and with your continued assistance look forward to full recovery in the weeks to come.

After my surgery to repair my pectoralis major tendon which was completely torn of the bone, I had to find a place to go to complete physical therapy. First Choice Physical Therapy was my "First Choice" and will always be my only choice for physical therapy after the phenomenal experience I have had there. From the friendliness I was greeted with on my initial phone call to make an appointment and throughout my physical therapy, there has been no question I made the right choice. Dr. Peter Askes is amazing. From my first appointment, he made me feel comfortable and confident that I would regain my range of motion by the end of my physical therapy. Dr. Lauren Spiegelhoff is outstanding. Within minutes of talking to both of them there is no question they are both experts in their field. Arthur is an expert also and guides you through the exercises. Thanks to their expertise, I saw immediate improvement in my range of motion and towards the end of physical therapy I regained my range of motion and increased my strength. With every appointment, I saw results. It amazed me how friendly everyone is at First Choice Physical Therapy. From the secretaries, to Dr. Peter, Dr. Lauren, and Arthur they treated me with care, professionalism, and respect. I have been telling everyone I know that I hope they never need physical therapy, but if they do, to choose First Choice Physical Therapy for knowledge, expertise, and professionalism that is unmatched. Thank you Dr. Peter, Dr. Lauren, and Arthur for everything.

I went to First Choice for ankle surgery. I started very frozen, scared with 2 crutches and afraid to move. Now, 2 and a half weeks later, Im walking, without any assistance. Ive observed many different rehab facilities and hospitals as a nurse and prior patient of physical therapy. First Choice PT maintains confidentiality, respect, and flexible scheduling which worked very well with a busy work/commuting schedule. I shared my first walking experience after being 6 weeks non-weight bearing with Reshma. She was very calming and was able to help me understand my own strength. I had my other sessions with Ed Marion and Peter Askes. They were both very knowledgable and was able to explain to me of my progress. They also helped me understand my growing limits and how to care for my ankle. I am so thankful to have attended First Choice Physical Therapy as they were recommended to me from my family. I would recommend this facility if you are looking for professionalism and people that know what they are doing. Being that it was my first surgery, I am grateful to be taken care by this great group.

I was a recent patient at 1st Choice Physical Therapy and my experience was an excellent one. When I arrived, I was greeted by a very kind, courteous and extremely efficient staff. They cheerfully helped with insurance information and other details. I felt comfortable knowing that they knew what they were doing and were concerned about me. I was always taken for my therapy on time and brought into one of the many private rooms that are large, clean, and nicely decorated. Each person is given privacy and is treated like an individual. With Peter Askes as my therapist, I received many years of experience, gentleness, and understanding, as well as some lively conversation. He knew how much pain I had and he gave me confidence that I would be feeling better soon. His wealth of information and extraordinary talent is so great that by listening to him and following his instructions, I felt better more quickly than I imagined possible. Their slogan is "Put Your Health In Our Hands". I would, anytime! 1st Choice Physical Therapy is my first choice!
