My wife and I have been using Dr. Peneiras since 2005. We now live 40 miles away from his office and have switched all other doctors to local area offices, EXCEPT for Dr. Peneiras, both he and his staff have always been extremely helpful, knowledgable, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I have been wearing glasses since the age of seven and Im always extremely satisfied after a visit to Dr Peneiras. Hes one of 2 doctors I regularly see that I actually look forward to seeing. I have recommended Dr Peneiras to all of my family and friends who both live in there area, and who live closer to me. The 40 mile (80 mile round trip) is well worth it!

Dr P took great care of my son when we went in for a visit. It was my sons first time and the staff at Advanced Eye Professionals treating us with such care. My son enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. At many doctors offices you feel rushed and that they have to get to the next patient. At no time did we feel this way at all with Dr P or his staff. We could have stayed all day... Thank you for your service - the rest of the family will be back for our checkups this year.

While working I got a foreign particle in my eye. It was very irritated and left my eye watery and itchy. I called Advanced Eye Professionals and Dr. Peneiras took me in as their first appointment Monday morning. He did a thorough exam of my eye and checked to make sure there were no scratches in the eye. He then cleaned out the eye and I left the office feeling 100 times better! No more eye issues and I now know where to go for all of my eye care needs.

Dr. Peneiras and his staff are wonderful. They are very caring people. They took their time with me and made sure to answer all of my questions before leaving. It turns out that I need to see a corneal specialist and Dr. Peneiras called the specialist personally to fill him in on my situation. I cant say enough about this establishment. Dr. Peneiras has 2 locations. One in Manalapan and one in Long Branch. I have been to both locations for eye glasses and eye care. He and his staff did a great job with my 18 month old when she was having eye issues. Since it was a trauma situation, he even offered to come in on a holiday for a 24 hour check up. We trust our entire family eye care to Dr. Peneiras.

Unfortunately, and due to my own personal experience, Dr. Peneiras and his staff have serious miscommunication problems and lack customer service skills. As such, Dr. Peneiras staff are ill-equipped to be responsive and accommodate their patients needs. I would highly recommend that you pursue a true eye care professional..
