My review was accurate. What you did was very very wrong and truly unprofessional. No one asked for your opinion once My two dogs left your practice. After the two dogs had surgery done at valley vet Harley actually recuperated much faster than my other puppy with the said normal lab values- he is a happy healthy dog and in any clinical practice common clinical sense must be applied and resources such as lab values etc should be used if there is any indication of a cause for them. I do not appreciate wasting time or money on unnecessary practice or holding up a necessary surgery that is in the contract I have with the breeder. You have no common sense and are over-diagnosing. I repeat as in my first review that if a person has time and money to waste they would be happy at your facility- meanwhile I believe unless there is a clear need- such as the dog being in pain or clearly sick, resources should be used for a better cause. Case in point- you suggested orthodontia for Harley. He has no need for orthodontia- how ridiculous would that be when there are millions of people in the world who cant even afford to have orthodontia for their children or themselves. I would rather donate that money for a child to have orthodontia than for a dog who is not in pain, can eat his food and is happy to have orthodontia. When I asked another veterinarian for a second opinion they explained that Harleys teeth were actually better than most French bulldogs and that unless he was in pain or had trouble eating I shouldnt worry about orthodontia for a dog. Of course these options should be given to your clients however you pushed all these unnecessary procedures, extractions, X-rays, EKGs on me. You have ego issues clearly- when you called the other veterinarian after I closed my account with your practice and tried to convince him of your point of view. I will be speaking to the board and hopefully they will do an inquiry with how you handle your practice. Your peers must think you are a joke.

I have had a long and successful relationship with Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital. I own two cats, one of whom has had ongoing health problems. Though my original veterinarian tried to treat her, he was unsuccessful. In frustration, I searched for a second opinion on her continuing upper respiratory illnesses. Dr. Miller and Dr. Lewis at Eagle Rock solved the mystery very quickly. After listening to her lungs, Dr. Lewis thought she might have asthma. An x-ray confirmed the diagnosis. My cat is now on inhaled steroids and her illness is well managed. More recently during a renovation, fleas entered my home when the foundation in my basement was jackhammered, exposing contaminated soil beneath the concrete. My cats got fleas from the soil, and carried them throughout my home. Because neither cat is allowed outside, I never imagined a flea problem when they seemed ill. Again, Eagle Rock figured out the problem fairly quickly and solved it, although even they were surprised by the diagnosis. Fleas would not be something that would be suspected for an exclusively indoor pet. I cannot say enough nice things about Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital and their doctors and staff.

I have been using eagle rock for years for both of my dogs and have been very happy. On May 29, 2013 I had to put our wonderful standard poodle down. He was 15 years old and in the last stages of liver and renal disease. Needless to say this was a very difficult decision to make. Dr. Miller explained step by step what would happen and assured us we were making the best decision for a beloved pet that could not make the decision himself. We did not want this done at the vets office but in the comfortable environment of our home. Dr. Miller was not available to come to our house but Dr. Macario was. She has taken care of our furry son for months and knew him well. She was compassionate and kind as well as her vet tech Tara. A very sad and emotional event was made bearable by the professionalism and kindest of the eagle rock staff. Our dog went across the rainbow bridge in a calm and familiar setting. We will always be grateful to Dr. Miller and his staff.

I have been taking my dog to EAGLE ROCK VETERINARY HOSPITAL since we first adopted her almost 4 years ago. The staff is fantastic. It is very easy to get an appointment. The office is spacious and extremely clean. the Doctors and staff thorough and clear with explanations and diagnostics and its obvious that they know their clients and they love what they do. When we were new and we had a young puppy (first time owners), they took the time to let my kids and I tour the office so wed see how everything worked. They were very patient about explaining all the steps wed take, from immunizations, to nutrition to training. Everyone there is approachable and easy to talk to, and its obvious from the other "patients" and owners I have met that everyone feels very comfortable there. Thankfully our pet has been healthy but I have no doubt that if something serious happened, any of the Doctors would take care of her brilliantly.

I love the doctors and staff at Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital. They are so kind, caring and friendly and everything is so clean. I bring my kitten there and I know she is in good hands. Price is average but I rather not go with the cheapest place or the most expensive. They really care about the animals they see. And they take the time to explain how to care and prognosis. Dr. Lewis is great! I really appreciate a doctor who takes the time to make sure you are feeding and socializing the animal the right way. (I wish MDs took the time he does) I have used the boarding too and love that they give the animals time to roam around and the staff comes and plays with them too. (its hard to leave your pet, but this is the best way) They dont mind you calling to check in and give you a little update. I found them on Angies List and Im so glad.

If you want to be charged an egregious amount of money for treatment that is excessive and designed to maximize the bill while potentially jeopardizing the life of your beloved pet, this is the veterinarian for you. If you would relish being treated condescendingly and having your questions summarily dismissed when you are in a state of duress, make an appointment with Dr. Abe Van Beveren. If you would like to be charged repeatedly for the same items such as IV fluids or for “Intensive Care” while your animal remains unattended, this where you should bring your pet. There are no words to express my dissatisfaction and distain for this facility and Dr. Van Beveren. I cannot caution you strongly enough to stay away from Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital at all costs; and it will cost you, the health of your pet, and your wallet dearly.

If you are looking for a new vet, please look no further. I have been going to Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital for 24 years now and there is no other. They are the nicest and most compassionate people you will ever find. My daughter was 2 when we first found Dr. Miller and after meeting him she told me she wanted to be a doggy doctor like Dr. Miller and he always encouraged her and 24 years later she is now a doggy doctor.. The whole staff at Eagle Rock are awesome animal loving people that cry with me every time I have had the unfortunate task of having to put one of my fur babies to sleep. They care they really care...... You wont be disappointed....
