I didnt even get as far as to go into this office. Just speaking to the woman who books the appointments over the phone was enough for me. She was very nasty to me. I have never been there before and I was trying to make a first time appointment for my child and all she did at first was ask what insurance we had and then after me telling her the insurance company she said that they didnt cover the full amount. So I said ok, well a colleague of my husbands takes his children there and he said that its covered. He and my husband have the same insurance. Then she said well then if hes been here before why are you asking me?!! She was an absolute nightmare to speak with. After that I didnt even listen to whatever else she said because I was in complete shock. I did tell her though to just forget about it because I didnt appreciate the way she just spoke to me. Unbelievable. I cant speak on the dentist himself, but all I can say is that he should really invest in a new receptionist. I will refer no one to this office. I wouldnt want anyone to have to call and deal with that wicked woman.

This review is long overdue. I was referred to Dr. Paul Chu about 1.5 yrs ago by a friend who went to the same dental school as him, Columbia University. My friend told me that he is the one she would bring her kids to for sure if her own husband wasnt a pediatric dentist as well. Even though its a far drive for us from Bayside, it is more than worth it! Dr. Chu is so great with kids, so knowledgeable, and so thorough in his explanations. All his dental assistants are very nice and patient too. Perhaps, the previous reviewer got the receptionist on an off day, so I urge him/her and all others reading this to definitely try out Dr. Chu. You wont regret it for sure!

The best of the best! Dr Chu cares for both my daughter who is 4 and my son (16 mos) who had to see him for an emergency filling cap on his front tooth when he fell and broke it. He is AMAZING with kids, making them comfortable with the dental process, takes time to calmly explain the procedures to parents and children. He was extremely accommodating to take us in quickly when my sons tooth broke and swiftly performed the procedure to ensure we didnt compromise the health of that tooth. I cant recommend him enough!!

Dr. Chu is one of the best dentists weve ever met! Hes very professional and did great (very high-quality) jobs on filing my childrens cavities. In addition, he can amazingly make the children feel comfortable during all visiting time. All my three children are no longer afraid of seeing the dentist now. According to my 2-year experience with them, all of his team are very professional, nice, kind and polite!!!
