I met one of the staff at an event put on at the local YMCA We spoke about my health concern and the services SHC offers, and I was interested in the hyaluronic injections for the knees. so I figured it was worth a try and made an appointment. He had told me about other treatments, but I told him I was only interested in those injections When I got to the clinic, I was met with the pages of insurance to fill out. I know thats customary at most offices, I just wanted to speak with the representative I had met at the YMCA event to be sure that I was intact a candidate for the injection, and also that what he had told me regarding what the charge would be. Before I could even get to speak with him, I filled out the docs, and then was greeted by another staff member who told me that he was going to take me on a tour of the clinic and get more information from me.. I said that I wasnt interested in a tour, I only was there for the injections. Company policy had this guy go over the company script for all new patients, which, after a moment I realized that this was not going to be about me getting to see the original rep I met, and getting the injections , but that it was about bringing me into the mindset of the clinic which was that they have other programs and therapies etc....that all would be part of their care. In other words, they sit you down and get you into being a regular! In addition, the gentleman who was going thru this information with me had to keep leaving the room to be sure that my insurance was accepted. He came back into the room to let me know that the injections would only be given as part of a program to assist me.... And thats when I got up to leave. We spoke about other treatments that I am currently doing, and that I was only there to experience the injections. And, While I appreciate that is his job to convey the clinics procedures, it was NOT what I was there for. If the original rep I had met at the YMCA conveyed all this to me, I would NEVER have made an appointment. It was not my intention to be a regular client there. I was just going to have a treatment to see the benefit it might have But this is what sales are all about. Unfortunately it happens everywhere. Get you in for one thing, and get you to keep coming in. I guess theres no money in what I was coming there for! That original representative should have been clear to say that they dont do separate treatments without getting you to sign on to a program... Or at least to have come into the room to speak with me. So, as I was leaving, I asked to speak to the man who I had originally met at the YMCA He came into the room I had had the consultation in, and asked me to follow him. He walked to the front door, and opened it... He then said, "Please dont come back here!!!" My response? shame on you sir....you told me one thing, I came in expecting that, and that you NEVER even came into the room during my appointment to discuss my treatment, my concerns, and then as I expressed my dissatisfaction with that, you tell me not to come back! Are you serious? Not only are you as Mr Wonderful would say, "Dead to me", . but what kind of conduct is that? Who in the world do you think you are? wasting my time to get me into the clinic, and then when I express myself, you ask me to leave. Superior Healthcare? I think NOT

I am a local Physical Therapist and have treat several patients over the last 2-3 years that have been seen for care at this facility. To say I have concerns is a major understatement. To begin with, when this practice opened they were falsely advertising that they provided physical therapy. I took a letter from our board for them to finally remove this falsity from their window and website. The feedback I have received from my patients is consistent with over utilization of care, unethical and unnecessary interventions and therefore gross over billing of patients and insurance companies. One patients history to me is consistent with Medicare fraud. Many of my patients were sold the same items and they all report receiving the same care regardless of their problems. Their entire model appears to be to generate as much cash flow as possible and patient care appears to be a low priority. This group will not survive. Dont be fooled.

I first heard about Dr. Andrew Wells and his staff through my friends at the local gym I attend. He and his staff came highly recommended. I injured my lower back to the point that it started to cause numbness and tingling in my knees when I sat down for more than 30 minutes. I went to see Dr. Wells and had my initial consultation and my x-Rays. After getting the X-Rays back...I then realized how messed up my spine really was. So, with his guidance, he set me up with an action plan to get everything back into the correct positions as to eliminate all my pain. It has now been several weeks later and all my knee pain has pretty much subsided. If you are looking for a chiropractor who truly has your overall health and well being as a top priority...then do your body some good and go visit Dr. Wells. He has an amazing staff who are always friendly and smiling. He will work with you and help you gain back your health for Maximized Living.

I am a veteran with multiple injuries. For years the militarys version of "taking care of me" was through pumping me with medication, especially drugs for pain. I decided I could no longer live with an addiction to pain meds, even if I was still in pain I had to move and make the best out of it. I was in this transition when I met Dr. Wells and his wife, Katy. They took the time to find what the problem was in my back and started helping me to correct it. I started treatment right away and it has since helped me tremendously. I am 100% medication free, pregnant and healthier than ever. Even though I still have pain it is no longer masked and more manageable than before I started treatment at WFC. I have recommended a lot of people to them because I know they want to help others become healthier and I want other people to experience a life free of pain and full of health!

My wife and I own a cross-training/boot camp gym in Asheville called Hard Exercise Works. With so many chiropractors in and around Asheville, we were extremely lucky to stumble upon Dr. Andrew and Wells-Family Chiropractic. His professionalism, knowledge and kindness make each adjustment enjoyable. His whole staff, including his wife Katy, are there because they are passionate about what they do - they know you by name, hold you accountable, and they genuinely care about you as a person. If you havent had a chance to check them out, I would highly encourage it. My wife and I have been members of their community for over 1 year and I am now back-pain free and have become a stronger, healthier and faster athlete because of them. They are changing lives in Asheville on a daily basis, and it is because of this, that we recommend our clients visit them as often as possible.
