Broadway Veterinary Hospital deserves more than 5 stars! I highly recommend Dr. Meade and her staff. I had been taking my two cats to a cat-only hospital and was very pleased, but my veterinarian of 7 years left that practice. I found myself suddenly looking for another vet. I settled upon a larger practice that had more specialties available. It was not a good choice. After several appointments and with Codys initial problem resolved, I started looking for a smaller practice. I visited a couple of small vet hospitals before deciding upon Broadway Veterinary Hospital. I immediately knew that BVH was the place for us. BVH has a calm and friendly environment and every effort is made to ensure that cats and dogs rarely if ever meet (given my experience at the large practice, this became a very important criterion). Also, the fees are more reasonable than the large practice. My first official visit to BVH was for immunizations for both Cody and Canaan and advice about follow-up care for Codys GI problems. My fears about Cody issues were allayed, and both cats received their annual vaccinations PLUS enrollment in a Vaccines for Life program (great idea and a money saver). My shy and fearful -of-everything Canaan even seemed to relax, and I know it was the very kind and gentle approach by Dr. Meade, Tiffany, and Gray that made the difference. I highly recommend Broadway Veterinary Hospital. You’ll feel welcome, appreciated, and your pets will get the best of care.

Youve gotta come here!! Ive been to several veterinary hospitals around the greater Durham area over the past few years. Everything from Emergency to avian & exotic animal care clinic. One thing, though, that was missing, was a really great small animal clinic near me, easily accessible. Broadway Vet Hospital seems to have filled that niche for me! Not only have I found a hospital that is less than 10 minutes away from me, Ive also found a hospital that seems to have some of the best staff around. Im a small town person, so I dont like the big, corporate hospital idea. I feel like it forces the Drs and their staff into a position where they cant get to know the animal and the owner on a personal level. And vice versa. Dr. Meade clearly has a passion for a personal level care and compassion, and her staff mirrors that same attitude. Shes formed a wonderful team that takes care of my animals every time. I swear, its like theyre more excited than I am to see my dog! And I take that as a good sign.

So exciting to finally have a veterinarian located in downtown Durham! Ive lived in and around Durham for ~15 years and have switched vets alot (for different reasons). I started bringing my animals to Dr. Meade when she worked at a different hospital in Durham a couple years ago. I was upset when I found out shed left that position - it took me too long to find a good vet! But I heard through the grape vine a few months ago that she was opening up a clinic in downtown. Awesome! Let me tell you she is awesome - she is always very focused on quality and not quantity, and ive never felt shes tried to "up-sell" me in any way. She is always very nice, practical and patient with me (I am very chatty and ask a lot of questions). Highly recommended!!!

Our first experience with Broadway Veterinary Hospital was in an emergency situation. Our dog Solo was attacked by another dog and had a deep puncture wound on his neck. Dr. Amber Meade was great, she was professional, gentle and thorough, and Solo is recovering nicely. We also received a follow up call from Paisley, who wanted to know how Solo was doing, and she gave us great advice on the home care we were performing for his open wound. We can easily recommend the hospital and its staff to anyone, and really liked the friendly, clean, modern, state of the art atmosphere (and they even burn scented candles in the waiting area!) We look forward to our next visit when its time for Solos vaccinations and annual check up. Thanks Dr. Meade!

Dr. Meade and her staff are great. They took care of our pup from 7 weeks until we moved out of state recently. Gray, at the front desk, was always helpful and cheerful. It was a pleasure to call and speak with her. It was easy to schedule even last minute appointments. Our dog loved going there. Literally, he had zero anxiety about it. He would wag from head to tail as soon as we pulled up and want to run right in. I think this speaks to the care and love they provide.

The staff were really great with my dog. They seemed to enjoy how silly he is rather than getting annoyed at his energy like other vets have. Everyone was really nice, efficient and knowledgeable. They took really great care of my dog, answered all my questions, gave me choices for his care, and were upfront about the cost the whole way through (which incidentally was a much better value than other vets I have been to!). I could not be happier with a vet!

They are patient, kind, and never a long wait. They are always willing to consider working with your budget. With three dogs, we need it! Our beloved dog has really bad luck with other dogs when she is out. She has had multiple times when she has had injuries from attacks because although she is a Rottweiler mix and cannot see very well. This last attack we might have lost her if it werent for the wonderful care of Dr. Meade and their staff.

I seriously couldnt be happier that I have found a place to take my furbaby that I love. The staff is so kind and courteous and care so much for all of the animals that come through their office. All staff is incredible and they always do a follow-up call to make sure everything went okay after the appointment. They are the absolute BEST.

All of the staff here are fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We just adopted two cats and were delighted to discover that BVH provides a free first visit if you adopt an animal from a shelter. Our kitties seemed to actually enjoy their visit, so we look forward to bringing them back here.

Dr. Meade and her staff make a vet visit enjoyable for both my pups! They actually enjoy going to the vet now. Dr. Meade recently preformed a surgical procedure on our twelve year old. We could not have asked for better service from diagnosis to the surgery to getting her stitches out.
