I was a little concerned when I read the other two reviews as they were negative. But I am aware that occasionally every doctor has a misunderstanding with a patient and those are usually the ones who write reviews. I was also suspicious that they were written by a competing office (which sometimes happens with reviews) because they BOTH referred to the same "other" office. So I decided to keep my appointment and I am very glad I did. I recently had a second visit, and once again, Dr. Hall was professional and did a great job. No complaints. I have a follow up visit scheduled and anticipate a good experience again. 6/22/11 I was referred to this doctor by my primary care office. I was able to get an appointment within a week. When I arrived, the office staff was friendly and helpful. The waiting area was clean and attractive. There were lots of recent and clean magazines to read on a rack nearby, but I didnt have to wait more than 10 minutes for my appointment. When my time came, the doctors assistant greeted me cordially and asked me the reason for my visit and prepped me for the exam. She showed genuine interest and had a warm personality. The doctor came into the examination room within 3-4 minutes of my arrival, and was professional, friendly, and personable. He shook my hand, and asked me about me, my interests, and my family in order to get acquainted. He seemed genuinely interested in me. Ive been to several dermatologists over the years, and this was the most comfortable visit Ive had. He asked me my medical background questions during the exam. The exam was the most professional and comfortable exam I have ever had. I made the appointment because of three areas of skin cancer concern. One, on my face, was a pre-cancer. The other two were no concern, but he found a suspicious mole on my back which he wanted to remove. The removal procedure was quick, comfortable and thorough. The doctor also froze the pre-cancer on my cheek, and that was also quick and comfortable even though it was very near my eye. I was surprised how well it went. He answered several of my questions, reassured me regarding future follow-up and shook my hand again as he completed the visit. Everything was done within 20 minutes. His very soft spoken manner and gentle demeanor might be misinterpreted by some as condescending, but actually was indicative of a kindly and professional reassurance. I was very pleased with the visit and will use this doctor again.

My Father had been going to Dr. Hall for the past 15 years or so. I moved out to the coast and wanted to have some misshaped moles removed before summer hit. I was unable to get in with Dr.Hall but got in with another female Dr......Well I should have left when she did not want to take the moles off stating that to her they "looked fine" but I held up the myeloma flyer I had picked up while waiting in the front office and said "the moles on my stomach look just like this" With some attitude she removed 3 moles. Now this was not my first time having this done. So I was shocked at the way they scared up. I now have 3 red lumps across my stomach that ache all the time. I have to wear compression bandaids on them most days. I called to complain and the only response she gave me was that I could come in for some cortisone shots at $65 dollars a pop and that they might only help a little. If she would have just done the job I had asked with out the attitude (maybe it was close to her lunch) I dont think I would be left with such disfigurement.

I am sensitive to steroids and have a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency. I told him that. After the stronger steroids Dr. Hall prescribed produced side effects he suggested an alternative (didnt work) and what he said was a lighter steroid (it wasnt lighter) which he said could be used long term. Steriods are not meant to be used long term. Note: steroids do suppress adrenals and there is evidence they can thin the skin, mess up your immune system and even cause cancer. If one has an adrenal insufficiency diagnosis steroids can result in inflammation and arthritis damage when they are stopped (which is what has happened now to me). One of the most destructive Dr. visits Ive had. If you have gotten contact dermatitis (eczema) use the hydrocortisone (which my integrative doc says is the weakest) *briefly*..no more than a week or two. And use hypoallergenic products and moisturize. Long term use of steroids is dangerous. Avoid this man..his advice can be dangerous.

I visited the Greensboro location with my son who was being seen. My first negative encounter was the medical assistant AMBER who was very very rude! not friendly or professional!! She didnt even say hello when escorting us back to the exam room really!! has a attitude problem! and no one, not even Dr. Hall should accept it. Danny, at the front desk is very nice and friendly but after actually going to the exam room with AMBER and her unfriendlyness was a total turn off. I end up leaving the office immediately and going to another dermatologist office(sameday). They were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Thats the customer service youre suppose to receive.

I recently visited this office as a new patient. I waited for an hour after my appointment time and ultimately left without seeing the doctor. When I walked out of the exam room, I found the doctor and other staff members socializing in the hallway. Any of the following things would have made this appointment tolerable: - if the scheduler had told me that appointments typically run ? hours. - if the receptionist had warned me that they were running behind schedule. - if someone had just popped their head in the exam room to let me know how much longer it might be.

Terrible service. I waited 30 minutes for Dr. McConnell inside the exam room. She is not personable. She didnt care to introduce herself or ask about myself. She rushed through the appointment, leaving for 15 minutes during the session twice (once to retrieve a textbook to show me and once to write prescriptions). The nurse popped in during one of the doctors "away" sessions and looked confused to see me there, asking if the doctor was coming back. This office is unorganized and doesnt seem to care about their patients. I will not be returning here.

If you need a dermatologist, I suggest you try GSO Dermatology and leave Dr Hall alone. I waited weeks to see him and when I finally did he put me on medicine telling me my cyst would go away, when in FACT, it needed surgery. In MY opinion he is a disgrace as a DR and only wasted my time. Finally I went to Greensboro Dermatology, and Dr Jones removed my cyst in about 15 minutes. DR Hall is a quack so if you are thinking of seeing him, think again and get a real Dr who can actually do treatment as it should be.

New to town, we received 2 recommendations. One was for Guilford Dermatology and the other for Dr. Hall. Guilford Dermatology must be a fairly large practice, friendly phone staff but had no openings for 2 months. Dr. Halls office had an opening in 4 days. Their office was relatively busy but we did not wait long. The staff was friendly & competent. Dr. Hall was professional & explained everything very well. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a dermatologist in the area.
