The staff is rude, dismissive, and apparently this is okay with the office manager and doctors. Over the years as a patient there, I saw the front staff treat patients rudely. Back in late February, I was involved in a car accident, was told by the ER doctor to make an appointment with my physician as a follow up. I tried to do that. I was refused the appointment by Greensboro Medical Associates because it was due to a car accident. I was shuttled off to the business managers voice mail with no explanation. This happened three times. I asked why I wasnt allowed to make an appointment with MY doctor, why did the business manager have to do it for me, and was told in a condescending tone "because its policy." Fine. I left three voice messages for the business manager, Cindi Sharpe; no return call. Not even one attempt at calling me back. I was in pain, tired of the run around, snapped at just for trying to make an appointment and I didnt understand why. I had to see a doctor because of that accident. I had to make sure I was okay, so two days later, I called another practice, who saw me immediately. I never heard from Greensboro Med Assoc. Ever. I waited a couple of weeks, then wrote two letters - one directly to the office manager, and one one directly to Dr Pharr. No response. My mother spoke to a nurse there a couple of months later and asked what was the policy regarding car accidents and she relayed my trouble getting to see Dr Pharr for a follow up. She then had to relay it to Dr Pharr and the office manager, Mr Labine, who gave her his business card and asked me to get in touch. He mentioned to her that there wasnt much he could do about it if Id never told anyone. Excuse me, but I tried to get in touch with someone of authority five times via phone and mail, and was ignored. I gave a sixth attempt at relaying this incident and emailed Mr Labine directly using the email on his business card. This was nearly one month ago - no reply. Nothing. Its obvious that this practice does not need patients and does not care about the ones they have/had. Do yourself a favor, call another practice. Eagle Physicians are a considerate group. And they wont refuse you when you need your doctor.

My doctor was a great doctor, but when she moved to this facility, I had reservations. My father had used them for a different doctor. Every office employee that I have interacted with is unpleasant, to say the least. They are impersonal, sometimes in a rude way. Defensive, and they support each others antisocial behavior. It takes no effort to be pleasant in saying the same things. No effort at all. Even worse, there was some mistake in the way they filed my insurance for a visit. They did not correct it in time in spite of notices from the insurance. I contacted the office and my insurance several times because the doctors office kept billing me for it. Each time, nothing was done about it at this office even if they said there would be follow up. Id get another threatening bill. Finally, I visited the office in person. The front office didnt want me to see the finance/billing office person, but I insisted. I mentioned I had already called several times to no avail. The woman was totally uncooperative and unpleasant. I tried to explain. I asked her to cancel the debt. She said something like "What would happen to us if we did that for everyone who asked?" I thought that she would, of course, cancel the charge since it was their mistake. She finally wore me down with her implacability and manipulation. If she wouldnt see reason, I figured, what could I do? I was tired of being reasonable in the face of unreasonableness. I had to pay or they would send it to collections. I did. It was $100 or more, which was in addition to my copay. It was unbelievable. I will never use any doctor in this place again because of their office staff.

Before being a patient at Greensboro Medical Associates, I needed to switch to a primary care physician for the first time since I had grown out of being able to use my pediatrician. After a few years of not having a specific doctor and just going to see someone if I ever got sick, I decided I needed to make sure I had a doctor that could focus on myself as a patient. Since that point, Dr. Kim has been my doctor for a few years now, and I cannot say anything but great things about him and his staff as well. His nurse Ann, always makes you feel comfortable and calm and is extremely polite and generous ALL THE TIME. Whether you are just calling the office to check on something, or are coming in for a simple lab and blood work (which a lot of offices just skim over and dont make you feel as comfortable, GMA still makes you feel at ease), or for any other visit, the entire staff is still always extremely polite and helpful. With the changes in healthcare recently, it is a great thing to know that the Dr. Kim and the surrounding staff are always very quick and still so generous doing everything they can for the patient, all the while dealing with very stressful and confusing times. If anyone is looking for a doctor that really cares about his patients, than you need to see Dr. Kim along with the entire staff at Greensboro Medical Associates. I know I can say this and truly mean it in regards to their hard work and commitment to one’s health, they really care. Thank You for everything that you and your staff and office continue to do on a daily basis.

I been going to Greensboro Medical Associates since I was 14 years old with Dr. Sullivan (retired) Im now 45 years old. This office once was wonderful but now I must say they are terrible. My last visit Dr. Kim referred me to a pain management clinic. The experience was terrible but that is another review (DONT GO TO PREFERRED PAIN MANAGEMENT IN GREENBORO NC) I felt I built a good trusting relationship with gboro med. Assoc. but they sent me to a doctor out of my network and I got a huge bill and Im still in pain with my back. I spent all this money and got no where nothing . The Greensboro Medical Associates office staff are terrible why do this to me do your job. They referred me to this office they didnt even check for my insurance before hand after a 30 year client you basically stabbed in the back. In one of my visits to Greensboro Medical Associates I was in the process of getting examined with Dr. Kim and his mom text his cell phone and he stops and said his mom made a 100 thousand dollar investment that was going bad and didnt know how to get out of the investment. This was during my visit in the examination room. I guess my health concerns was not a concern for my former doctor. Im so pissed right now and I have spoken to other patients that are not satisfied with their doctors at GREENSBORO MEDICAL ASSOCIATES. This is a real statement. And I want my medical records to go to another doctor. Please think before you make a appointment.

I was given a referral to this office but my doctor failed to specify the doctor so they gave me the doctor they decided upon and then refused to allow me to change to the one I wanted. I found the doctor they gave me didnt listen to my concerns and goals because he was intent on prescribing Humira. I was on Humira 12 weeks and ended up in the emergency room with an infection. After being treated for weeks for this infection I returned for an appointment. I was 10 minutes late so they canceled my appointment and charged my insurance 155.00 for it. I felt uncared about, like I was in an assembly line.
