My dental insurance only covers 3 providers in the area (one half an hour each way from me), and if it wasnt for my schedule conflicting, I would go to the other in town... this office isnt bad, but they arent very sharp... I had a chip with a soft spot that he wasnt even going to bring up even though its on a tooth that has an old, olllld filling that needs repair. I also have a medical condition that has caused a lot of change in my teeth in the last 2 years, and despite me going there before, they ignored the changes and said my teeth and gums are gorgeous, which my other doctors most certainly say are not.... its not that I have bad teeth, rather that my medicines have wreaked havoc on the good teeth I *did* have, which are now loose and shifting with irritated gums. Another thing that disturbed me is that I have been reading about novamin, a really important new development in the dental world, and wanted to know what Dr. Silvas opinion was... never heard of it. I really, really worry when an absolute breakthrough (by all medical and dental journals, at least) happens in someones field and they have never even heard of it. I dont really trust my teeth to these people and am going to figure out some way, any way, of getting in to a different practice. Oh yeah, and they only took bitewings-they wouldnt do the whole mouth scan... why not? Dunno, since I specifically waited until it was "cleared" by my insurance company to have the full blown exam and cleaning. I didnt, ironically enough, even get my teeth cleaned because, despite me being an established patient, I have to have an antibiotic "clearance note" from my primary doctor for a cleaning... since otherwise, cleaning my teeth might cause infection? That is a new one-never had that horrible risk before, so why now? I think they are a bit loose-brained.

Have been going to the dentist for about five years. I started noticing that I was forming cavities in some of my teeth. But they never said anything about it during my regular check ups . So I go to another dentist and they tell me I had three cavities. When Dr Sylva gave me checkups every 6 months for 5 years and never said anything . They are obviously not doing their job I would not recommend this Dentist to no one
