I saw Dr Cook in November after being referred by my dentist for excruciating pain I was having in my upper left tooth. He was incredibly impersonal & told me it was my allergies and swelling in my sinuses that was causing the pain. The root is too close to the sinus cavity. Months later, after being unable to chew or sleep on my left side, the pain stopped. A few weeks later, a lump appeared on my gum right above that tooth. I was referred to him again & saw him today. He again, did not communicate with me at all & after callously poking around (causing excruciating pain with complete disregard for my state of being) I heard and felt him stab through the abcess - again without a word to me. No anesthetic, not even a simple qtip with some topical numbing agent. I am completly astounded this man is still allowed to practice! I have unfortunately had extensive dental work in my lifetime of 43 years because of degenerative enamel, I have an incredibly high tolerance for oral pain & this was by FAR the most painful, horrific experience I have ever had to live through.

Ive had a couple of root canals done, my first one at another endodontist in Fargo and the other at Cook Endodontics. My first root canal at the other office was a terrible experience, I was in pain the whole time and they wouldnt do anything about it. I was crying by the time I left. I was really upset when just a year later my dentist told me that I needed to get another root canal. I went to Dr. Cook this time because my dentist recommended his office. I went in expecting the same pain and anxiety that I had had before but was pleasantly surprised when there was no pain during the root canal, not even the shots! After he was done, the assistant explained everything to me very simply. The next day she called to check on how I was feeling and if I was feeling alright! That made me feel like I wasnt just "another root canal". Even though getting a root canal isnt very fun, Cook Endodontics made it a very painless and manageable experience.

I just went in there today to have a root canal done I had dr. Peterson and he was amazing he numbed me so much I didnt even feel anything he was very gentle hes very caring made sure that I was ok and I wasnt in any pain we joked around a lot, it was fun probably one of the best dental experiences Ive ever had he was amazing as well as the dentist assistant she was awesome too.

Cant speak for Dr. Cook himself, but Dr. Peterson was extremely un-professional and doesnt care about his patients comfort levels. He got frustrated with me complaining about pain multiple times, and I was forced to walk out due to his lack of empathy. Do NOT recommend if you suffer with Dental Anxiety, this clinic appears to just care about its turnover and not its patients.

I had a root canal with Dr. Cook today and it was a very positive experience. Very efficiently run office and courteous staff including Dr. Cook. I experience no pain even with the injections. I would go back to him in the future without question. He was able to see me the same day my dentist made the referral which was greatly appreciated!

Dr. Cook, Melissa, Becca, and Becky took such good care of me. This was my first root canal, and the staff was so caring and professional that it made the process so easy. I had a lot of anxiety going into the procedure but Dr. Cook and the wonderful staff made me feel comfortable, and the whole process was painless.

Per my insurance companys advisement, I had 2 in-network providers send pretreatment analysis to them to find out what my coverage would be and what my out of pocket would be. Cook Endodontics added on 4 additional "services" to the root canal making my out of pocket $220.00 more....

This was by far the worst experience!! Zero customer service, from anyone in the office. Pain was unbearable. I know root cannels arent pleasant but, this was far beyond unpleasant. Shop around before you settle here.
