Dr Stephen Crawford was my dr for many years when he was n Portsmouth. He was amazing with me treated me better than any dr Ive been to my whole life. He delivered my boys gave me an amazing pregnancy. Very honest straight forward an easy to talk to about any health issue. Does not rush you or treat you any different then he would want to be treated. He has performed several surgerys as well as my deliverys. I lost track of him after he relocated elsewhere an just now found him on the web. To be very honest I have only been to the gyno a few times since dr Crawford due to the way they treated me. Iam super excited to know wher his practice is. Says a lot when you stop goin to the dr cause no one can fill one drs shoes. I had no choice but to go see a dr n Washington courthouse for a partial hysterectomy an she butcherd me all to pieces an I havent been to anyone else since. I look forward to seeing dr crawford an to know iam n good hands. No surgery to be done just to make a dollar. As far as any bad reviews about dr Crawford or his wife I cant imagine them to treat anyone poorly. Hope this review was helpful to others. I recommend both drs! Thank you Frankie Pritchard.

Ignores your Birth Plan What ever your birth plan is, the doctors here will NOT honor it! I had told them i wanted a natural birth, they were fine with that, until i came to the hospital for the birth of my little girl As soon as i was admitted Dr. Clark stated that he wanted to start me on pitocin or i might have to have a c-section. My baby girl was fine. nothing wrong. Everytime he came in thats all he would say, When dr Crawford came in he stated the same thing everytime he came in. Again the baby was fine. After HOURS of the Drs saying this to me i finally gave in and got the pitocin and a epidural ( not what i wanted AT ALL!) Dr Crawford delivered my daughter and when she came out he said .. "See you got your way and didnt get a c-section" I will NEVER EVER go to this practice again!!! Just be aware that they will change your birth plan! .

Terrible. After the first visit, I found a new gynecologist! Did not answer questions. Doctor had that holier than thou attitude, and even laughed at me for asking the questions that I asked. Terrible bedside manner. I would not tell my worst enemy to go to Dr. Valerie Crawford. Maybe her husband is a bit better, I cant speak to that. Oh, and after I got an abnormal pap, my new gyn requested it the very day it was received by Crawford. It was not sent until WEEKS later, a time frame that is detrimental to getting treatment. Even though the nurse at my new Dr. called AND faxed that day. I also called that day. They still waited weeks to send it. Hope I dont have a terminal condition, but I doubt Crawford and her staff care at all.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Crawford for 9 years, he delivered my second baby and was amazing, he also performed my complete hysterectomy. Hes very easy to talk to, doesnt make you feel rushed, and always lessons to any concerns you may have. His staff is also great always, smiling and nice..
