As soon as I knew I was pregnant I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Pohl. That was in middle of July. And they had time for me just in middle of September. I thought that was super weird, because if you are accepting new patient, and somebody call saying that they are pregnant, how a doctor say that they will see you when your first trimester is almost done? So, i decided to go to my old doctor in midtown just to check if was everything good, and after that transfer to the Dr. Pohl. I called asking if that was ok, and the answer was yes. So, I went back in midtown for the second visit, and I asked for the transfer. The office in midtown made all the paper work, sent my blood work results, and I had a new doctor close to my new house, right? NO!!!!! I had a bleeding last week, and i called trying to see the doctor, and all they told me was that bleeding was normal. How they know if is normal without to see me????? On Friday, the bleeding became strong and red, and I lost my baby! At the emergency room they told me to call "my doctor" in 2 days to check the hormones levels and to be sure that i dont have any infection. So I called today (08/29/2016), and guess what?! They cant to see me bc they just accept pregnant women!!! And now what i do with all the questions that i have? Idk. I feel like i want to tell them how wrong this situation are. And teach them how to be honest with people. What happened to me is already not a easy situation and now i have to deal with this careless. I have no answers and i feel abandoned. And everything can be ok, but i can have complications, we will never know if i dont see a doctor the same way we will never know if this pregnancy had salvation. They took my right of try everything to save my baby from me not being honest with me.

Dr. Pohl was my OB with my first pregnancy. I trust him and his staff completely. They are all very professional and friendly. Im pregnant with my second child now and switched from one horrible OB back to him even though Dr. Pohls office is nowhere near my office or home and is about 40 minutes from both. Its all very worth it and Ill never make the mistake of trusting another doctor with my OB care. Im down to weekly visits now... and hence weekly drives to Lawrenceville from Alpharetta (right up the road from Baby Central - Northside Hospital... you cant swing a stick without hitting an OB around here and my office is right in the middle of four large medical offices filled with OB suites, but I choose to make the drive to see Dr. Pohl). I know three other people who have used him for years (both routine visits and OB care). They love him as well. The wait time can get to be a little long (waiting room wait: 20+ minutes; in the room wait: 15 minutes or so). It could be worse I guess.

I saw Dr. Pohl for my fourth pregnancy after having tried three other practices with my previous babies. I was tired of being treated like a number and seeing a different doctor every time. Dr. Pohl truly cares about his patients and treated me with respect. He saw me at each visit and took notes on my family on our first visit to get to know me. He is very skilled and I felt safe knowing I was in capable, experienced hands. Many of my friends recommended me to him and all rave about him. Do not look elsewhere for an outstanding Obgyn! His office staff is polite and attentive as well and you can tell they enjoy working for him. My nurse at the hospital during delivery said that everyone there respects him and knows that he does a good job. 5 stars!

After having my fourth miscarriage, I was able to successfully give birth to two beautiful girls who are the loves of my life. I cannot begin to express the depth of my love and appreciation for Dr. Joseph Pohl and his fantastic staff. Both pregnancies were full of challenges but Kelly, Heather, Nurse Pam and the lady (cannot remember her name right now) who is responsible for billing and the office finances were simply amazing. Everyone treated me with such respect and I cannot wait to move back to Georgia to rejoin this wonderful group of healthcare professionals. The best on the planet hands down.

From the first visit we knew he is a great person and we are in good hands. The staff at Womens Heathcare Consultants are also very personable and friendly. We already recommended Dr Joseph Pohl to our friends and we will continue to recommend him because in Atlanta there is no better OB.

Dr Pohl is the best obgyn physician on the planet. He cares about the whole family not merely the pregnant mother and baby. He has delivered my last two babies. He is extremely informative about what the plan of care is and he is gentle! I am pregnant now and in the hospital and he comes everyday to check on me! He is always chipper and I place him on the throne of angels!

I would recommend Dr. Pohl to anyone pregnant or not. He is a wonderful and warm man. Worth the wait and worth any drive. Fantastic and so knowledgeable!! love love love love love him!!! The staff is friendly and they all truly care.
