I would NOT recommend this practice to anyone. Its unfortunate because there is one doctor in the group who is phenomenal (Dr. Rinala), but the practice as a whole is awful. Ive had numerous experiences that were unpleasant. One of the benefits to a group practice, is that you meet all of the doctors during your pregnancy and there is always a doc at the hospital or on-call. For my pregnancy, I was at the hospital for 6 hours before I finally saw a doc and majority of those 6 hours, I was being held off from delivery as we waited for a doctor to arrive. When I was admitted, the doc was at the hospital, she then left knowing I had been admitted and was close to being ready to "push". The nurses at Good Sam did a wonderful job delaying my delivering while we waited hours for Dr. Wurzbacher to finally arrive at 10:30am. The staff at Good Sam was clearly annoyed with the waiting. When I went back to For Women for my postpartum check-up, there had not been a report completed about the delivery - my file was empty. And finally, my sister just went through a similar experience, but unfortunately for her, the doctor never made it to the hospital and the resident on duty had to deliver her baby. She was at the hospital for 5.5 hours and never saw a doctor. Again, Dr. Horn was at the hospital when she was admitted and then left without every checking on her. The next doctor (LeMasters) didnt arrive until hours later and came to her room 18 minutes after her son was born and laughed that he just couldnt wait! My sisters delivery was traumatic and stressful - while they were trying to hold of the delivery for a doc to arrive, her sons heart rate dropped drastically and the resident made the decision to give an episiotomy and use the vaccuum forceps to get him out as quickly as possible. 7-8 people swarmed her room before delivery and they didnt say much. My sister cried in tears of fear during the entire labor, praying that her son would be okay. If you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant at some point, I would find a different practice. A practice where the doctors will care about your health and your unborn babies health. Find a place where you arent just "another" patient to them. And most importantly, find a practice where the doctors dont treat their job as "9 to 5" and just clock out when their shift ends. A doctor who actually cares about its patients, would not leave the hospital before another doctor arrives when they know a patient is preparing to deliver. You are entrusting yours and your babies well being with these doctors. Clearly, these doctors view their role as simply a job and dont genuinely care about you. I belong to a Mamas Group on Facebook - I posted a similar review and you wouldnt believe the number of comments I received from other moms saying they had TERRIBLE experiences at For Women.

I was recommended to For Women by several coworkers who have been going there for years, after I had had several health issues that were questionably handled by my previous OB/GYN. I chose Dr. Rinala after reviewing each doctors bio. Cant begin to describe how happy I have been with Dr. Rinala! She is always very patient and focused on your answers to her questions, and comes off as very caring about your specific concern...even though I know she has 40 more women to see that day! A few months ago, I did have to see Dr. Wurzbacher after I had a miscarriage as Dr. Rinala was on hospital duty that day. While she did not have the comforting bedside manner of Dr. Rinala, it was clear she knew what she was talking about and was very forthcoming with me about what to expect. Im a no-nonsense person, so I could appreciate that; though I can see how she might come off too brash to some people.

My wife delivered our baby girl two days ago. We love FWI, we can happily see most any of the doctors there, though there were a couple that we didnt really "click" with--they totally know their stuff, just didnt jive with us. Anyhow, my wife decided to give birth unmedicated, and we also hired a doula. Even though I could tell that some of the doctors were not super enthusiastic about the idea of a doula, they were all very respectful of our choices throughout the entire process. So, the doctors were great, we got along well with them and they were fantastic at reassuring is in times of stress or fear. most of the front office staff/nurses were wonderful as well. We enjoyed FWI so much that we are both looking forward to her post-partum visit just to see one of our favorite doctors. Thats saying something!

My entire family and I have been at For Women for years. Everyone there is very good at their job. Each doctor has their own things that I like more or less than the others, but I think the variety is important in a bigger practice because everyone is different and looking for different things. I have delivered 2 babies with the group and about to deliver my third. I have always felt that I am very well taken care of, and that each doctor cares (in their own manner) about our well being. Deliveries were always a good experience. Have recommended For Women to multiple people, and everyone I have sent to the practice has been equally as happy.

our OBGYN retired and the purpose for our appointment was to meet the doctor to decide if we want to switch to this practice. The experience was horrible. We had to wait over an hour. The room was so small that two people just could not comfortably wait there for the doctor to arrive. We did not care for their practice of rotating patients through the doctors so we decided against this practice, however we were still billed for the visit even though we told the receptionists a number of times that we are simply interviewing different doctors and we do not any labs or a checkup. I would not recommend this practice to anybody

Dr. Horn & Kesseler helped deliver my daughet at Good Sam and allowed me to follow my own birth plan. Very nice practice of female OBGYNs.
